The house keeping was very loud. The doors slam shut so every time someone came out their room you would hear it! Then house keeping would start cleaning up like 8 or 9 in the morning so there goes rest due to them opening the slamming doors! Hot tub was great minus that in was supposed to be indoor. hotel staff was very friendly, concierge tried to sell us on a condo/time share tour, they offer free DVDs which is very nice except the room TV was incredibly small and old, the mattresses need to be upgraded - they are old and lumpy, I'm not sure if it was the carpet or the heat/AC unit pulling smells from outdoors but there was a very strong wet […] dog smell in the room when the heat was on, ocean view means from the balcony if you lean out, efficiency kitchen means mini fridge and microwave. The parking situation is awkward. There are TWO overflow lots and spacing is tight near the resort. The night clerk that worked on April 27th was simply rude and had pure attitude in her voice over the phone (gives a bad rep for night shift). I believe she acts that so people won't talk to her. We had an amazing time at the hotel. It was an off peak time. The rooms and specially the bathroom were superbly clean. I was impressed to see how clean the carpet and the bed sheets were. The staff was very polite and ready to help all the time. Even near the pool a personnel was always there to keep an eye on people's activity. The feature that surprised […] us most was the unlimited free rental DVDs! We saw two new movies during the night. We wished they would have kept sugar and milk/ creamer in the room along with coffee as we had to go down to buy one. But it is conveniently located near a store too in case one doesn't want to go the restaurant in the resort. The only other thing was that the resort office is not within the main building so in the night we didn't feel like going down to get another movie but guess nothing much can be done about it as that this how the building is structured. The room was outdated. Mattress slumped in the middle and was tattered on the side. Had nice flat screen TV, but decor looked old. Fridge was dirty on outside. Linens and towels were crisp and clean. Bathroom was clean. Room smelled musty/humid and old.

My stay was ok. I didnt like the location of the hotel it was too far from the main strip. The fridge made noises all night long we had to call matencace several times. The check in time needs to be adjusted to meet the customer needs.

Overall the hotel was very nice and in a great location. There were a few items that left us a little frustrated. There was only one ice machine in the whole building and it was located on the ground floor, and it was out of order. The hotel list and indoor pool and lazy river. With that being said the pool and lazy river was heated though with warm temperatures but the cold air blowing in made it uncomfortable when you got out. It was very clean and comfortable. The dishes were clean and the rooms were neat. The pools were really warm and the people at the service desk were hilarious. It is located very close to a gas station, the beach, and many stores (Kripsy Kreme in particular). This is definitely a great place to stay.

There are a million places to stay on Myrtle Beach. The thing that sets a few of them apart is the layout of the rooms. This one bedroom unit gives you one bedroom with two beds in the back and a Murphy bed in the living room. Not impressed with this hotel at all. Hotel was full of loud teenagers and college kids. Not a great location for young kids. Hotel was noisy during our stay. Beds were horrible and hard as a rock. We had a very nice stay, the room was nice, but very uncomfortable furniture in the living room, and very soiled couch. Great view of the beach for the 6th floor. We were very close to Market Commons and most area attractions. They were real good about keeping our room cleaned, towels, ect.

My friends and I shared a 2 bedroom suite that was very nice. We enjoyed the big kitchen and everything was supplied to us. One downfall was being given a room on the first floor. My friends and I literally had to whisper on the balcony because families beside the pool and on the first floor were so close they would hear us. Only needed to stay for one night, hotel is close to myrtle beach convention center which is where our event was held. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were very nice. Only thing I wasn't expected was the extra $11+ charged at check in for room maintenance fee. But even with this fee the price was half the cost of the hotel the school […] was staying at. My sister, and our children took my father to the beach for his birthday. There was enough room for 10 of us. There were some very minor glitches, but nothing worth mentioning. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the view was magnificent.

I stayed in the off-season for one night. The location right on the ocean was really most important to me. The staff was friendly. The walls were paper thin--I could everything my neighbors were saying and doing. Felt like I knew them a little too well when I checked out. The 11.80 resort fee was extra--a fee for the pool (which I didn't use and a fee […] for the 'free local calls' which I didn't need.) We rented the 3 bedroom ocean front condo! The room has great size rooms, beds, bathrooms. The view couldn't be better! We had a softball tournament in town was the reason for our visit. Pros: Overall good place to stay. Area and location good. Hotel & room clean and well kept. Close to many activities, shopping, and places to eat. Cons: In-room kitchen had only limited utensils... No wash cloths or dry towels for dishes. Exercise room is small and has limited equipment.

I paid in full through Hotels.com but was shocked when the front desk clerk told me she could not give me my room key until I paid additional money for room cleaning and hotel fees. I told her I paid in full and I have a reciept from Hotels.com saying so, but she said, "No sorry this is something new we are starting this year." So be prepared to PAY […] MORE. Nice place to stay. Very clean. The hotel offered extras such as a lazy river, indoor hot tubs, and a pool. The restaurant was reasonably priced at this time of year and the staff there exceptionally friendly. You could buy a package that included breakfast if you chose. Would be a great choice for couples or families.

This was the 1st hotel that I ever stayed at in Myrtle Beach that didn't have the Mildew smell. The cleanliness and up keep was almost a 10. The lows are that the TV'S should've been a lil bigger. No coffee in room..The Ice Machine was way down in the Garage in which was crazy. 10 plus floors and no Ice Machine on each floor?.. Parking was crazy... […] Staff was courteous. Thank you to Paradise Resort for making my birthday get-a-way a wonderful and relaxing trip. I work in a school system and I am very stressed this time of year. My wife and I wanted to take our 15 and 10 year old to the beach for a quick inexpensive weekend, call it cabin fever. The best part of the hotel was the indoor lazy river, hot tub and pool. Even though the temperture was in the 40's we still enjoyed walking on the beach. Not sure we could afford this hotel durring season but we will definatly be back […] next winter. One thing to consider before making the journey is most attractions are closed durring the winter, for us hanging out playing games in the room was just as exciting and a whole lot easier on the wallet. OF with full kitchen. We were very pleased with the condo and the price. Lots of space with 2 dbl beds, a murphy and sleeper sofa. the bathroom had a new show/tub and there was plenty of space. The parking deck connected directly into the hotel elevator area-excellent and very secure! Bed bugs were reported at this resort--so we were a little concerned […] however upon arrival and a detailed inspection, none were found. The beds and linen could be improved but are probably the std of a 3-star. In my opinion, it would only take a few improvements (like the linen and flat screen TVs ) for this resort to be a 4-star. What a pleasant surprise! To be 100% honest I wasn't expecting too much from this hotel from photos and reviews alone. We stayed in a "Deluxe King" on the 15th Floor which was an *awesome* suite with a dishwasher, washer/dryer IN the room, and a pulldown bed in the living area which my husband and I slept on, giving our son the bedroom to himself. Huge […] room, almost better than being at home. The staff were very helpful, the indoor pool and lazy river was so fun (and FYI the water is warm for you winter travelers). Best of all when they say oceanfront view they mean OCEANFRONT! The view was stunning, it's nothing but water as far as they eye can see. We kept our balcony door open the whole time we were in the room. You wake up to the sparkling water and beautiful sunrise, I really really loved this. The hotel was definitely not walking distance from the downtown attractions, you'd have to drive to go to the SkyWheel or Ripley's but that was fine for us - we had a nice quiet beach to ourselves during the day and when we wanted to go out, we'd go out! It was easy to find parking downtown. I don't know what this hotel would be like during the summer but I recommend it for anyone getting away during the "off" months. We've stayed at this hotel twice now. The staff is always wonderful here. One of the best things being able to swim in a heated outdoor pool in January.
