Got it a bargain for 3 nights. On the grand via and many of the sites are a walk away. Clean room n nice artistic style.

My husband and I visited Madrid for our one year wedding anniversary and chose this hotel for its location and modern design. Upon arrival we were in love with the surrounding area. It's right smack on Gran Via which puts the hotel walking distance to several shows and plays, and countless restaurants and shops. We also loved that there were 24 horas […] tiendas nearby so we could stock up on water and snacks for our room. Metro stops are also walking distance, as are several areas to visit. And taxis are constantly running outside so we never had issues getting anywhere. Our room was small, even by European standards, but it was still comfortable. It is very stylish- think retro 40's Americana with contemporary design. We loved our bathroom and we especially loved the giant tub. It made for great baths after walking all day! The staff was helpful and kind and the front desk staff spoke English. But some others spoke mostly Spanish so it helps to know some Spanish. One thing we did find frustrating was that they could not guarantee a double bed for guests. I was told that we would get either a double or two twins, and when I asked if we would specifically request a double even if we had to pay more to reserve it, I was told it was not possible because there are so few. In the end we got one, it was just annoying to deal with. Also, the drain stopper in our tub didn't work so whenever we took baths, we had to jimmy the drain stop open with a butter knife. It wasn't a big deal to us, but I'm sure others might have found it inconvenient. But all in all, we loved our stay and would stay here again. This hotel doesn't offer ammenities like the more expensive hotels but for the price, and the fact that you are in Madrid so there is plenty to do besides stay at the hotel, it is an excellent choice. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful and I found our room to be quite considering that it was located at the Gran Via, and the Grand Via is […] buzzing with people, police sirens and trucks. This hotel was quite nice but I had a few small issues with it. The first is that either dirty sheets were put on my bed, or else they weren't changed but one evening there was a stain on my sheets after the housekeeping had been in earlier. Secondly, I don't know if maybe it was a language barrier but I asked at reception for a bucket of ice for our […] room in order to keep some water cold and was given a glass with a few ice cubes. Finally, the water was turned off for two hours and the hotel never told the guests-we only discovered this when my boyfriend went for a shower and no water came on. Considering the 30degree heat and the fact we had walked around the city all day, we weren't very happy that we had to go to dinner that evening without showers. The rooms are small but nice, and with air conditioning although ours acted up one night but every other night it was fine. The rooftop terrace is beautiful- i'd recommend even going up to it for a half an hour to soak up some sun! The location also couldn't be better, and one big plus is that the rooms are sound proofed. Close to all sights, room soundproof which was a plus as on main road. Roof top terrace lovely but no shade so no one used it. Reception area looked rather dirty, two white leather sofas looked awful. Hotel decor supposed to be contemporary but looked rather tacky. Did not appreciate the silver pvc chair in the bedroom, complete with dark red crushed […] velvet curtains, black bed through. This hotel is OK, just that- OK. The service is DYNAMITE- they are lovely, but the hotel itself has seen way better days... the photos on the site are somewhat misleading, compared to the rooms themselves. The glass in our bedside table was cracked and if in the dark someone had accidentally hit the corner just so- it could cut themselves, every one […] of the towel hooks in the bathroom actually pulled out of the wall if you hung a towel on them, etc. There is little/no shelf space/dresser room in which to unpack anything-- so be prepared to continue to live out of your suitcase. The communal areas were in better shape, wish they had put more $$ in the guest rooms. Lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood- there is a fabulous italian place across the street- other than that, there is not much going on in the neighborhood- although the metro stop is right on the corner- a stop which can get you to anywhere in the city that you need to go- including the airport. The hotel front desk could have been more helpful and friendlier. Also the hotel has no irons which is very inconvenient but offers ridiculously high prices for clothes to be ironed, ! Lastly, the shower door covers less then half the tub causing water to go splash everywhere when showering. This was an awesome hotel with great staff. Huge room size for Europe. Only one bad thing was Internet access not included and is at a ridiculous price of 8 Euro per 45 minutes.

Front desk staff were excellent. Location extremely convenient and centrally located. Room very small muck like all of Europe.

My partner and I wanted to be in a hotel that was relatively close to everything especially Chueca, but far enough away so we were not in everything all the time. This hotel is great as it is on the Gran Via, yet close to many of the key sites. We had a fantastic room for 15 nights with great AC and a HUGE bathroom making the stay especially pleasant […] (I am not sure if we were upgraded or not). We opted our of breakfast so no idea on it, but we loved how if was gay friendly, quiet, and extremely clean daily. I would stay here again or probably another wonderful VIncci property. Hotel is in the center, close to everything. Very clean, nice room, a bit small but good bathroom. Wireless Internet connection is too slow and there is no business center in the hotel. There is a parking next door which is convenient.

Excellent location on the Gran Via within walking distance of all the attractions Madrid has to offer. There was a bit of confusion as I booked an executive room expecting a larger room, however the executive room is a standard room with breakfast and one hour spa access, so I would not bother and stick with the standard room. Decent size, comfortable room, fun decor, great building, convenient location and wonderful service. It was exactly what we expected from the photos we saw on the internet. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

We had a great time at this hotel! Decor was very nice, room was spacious with every necessity..VERY CLEAN and most important, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! The rooftop deck has an amazing view! Our only wish was a rooftop pool, but unfortunately there wasn't one. We are from Long Beach, CA and checked everywhere online and this met every expectation! […] We would definitely stay..the room was king (actually 2 twin beds put together) the lighting was fabulous, decor was very nice and clean, actually almost new it seemed. We had a view of the street and most other hotel reviews complained about the noise at night, but this place had double paned windows and we slept like babies. We were just a walking distance from Plaza Mayor and most of the sites, all the shopping was one the same street, H & M, Zara, and very nice boutiques. There was fruit in the lobby for you, the front desk service was excellent, they called an arranged our cab for our departure on the last day. There were double sinks in the bathroom with toilet and bidea...actually there was a ceiling speaker in the bathroom so that you could hear the television while you were in there:) If you're going to Madrid, this is a great place to stay. If you are a museum lover, I would not stay there, since you would have to take the bus. I would recommend the double-decker tour for about 35 Euros for 2 people...it was a great chance to see the city. Casa Maria (a cafe in the Plaza Mayor) would be my recommendation since we tried all the rest and this was the best place and best price (Paella is excellent there) But overall, this is a great place to say with NO COMPLAINTS! Stayed in mid May 2011 and while it was nice to be in a good location, thephone in my room didn't work. When i told them to fix it they never did so i had to use the phone in the bathroom. They were very good abou wake up calls either. My friend who stayed next door didn't get a wake up call a couple of times. It was very GROOVY Hotel. It is not very business oriented though. No desk to work on. The interior of the Hotel designed very different, very groovy art Deco style. It reminded me of South Beach Hotels. I would come back to this hotel for Pleasure but not for as a business trip.

this hotel is beyond amazing!! the look was insane!!! sooo beautiful and the price is sooo great!! the room that you get for the price is unbeatable!!!

Hotel was lovely inside: nicely decorated room & beautiful staircase & black & white pictures dotted around. Looks lovely. Staff were good: friendly, helpful & efficient. I was there for business and it's easy to get a taxi or choice of metros from there. There's free cable internet in the room or paid wifi in the cafe/bar. I didn't have breakfast there […] so can't comment on that. There's a rooftop terrace with seating and a great view so it must be lovely in summer (my visit was in February so a bit cold for that!) The hotel is right on Gran Via so really central. Having stayed on Gran Via before I knew it would be noisy so knew what to expect but don't stay in this area for tranquility! Also the rooms are not soundproofed so maybe not ideal for a very light sleeper as you can hear people in the corridor. Overall I would say it was great and would definitely recommend. We had a fantastic w/e in Madrid. Lots of walking in the city but happy to relax in our room. Fantastic bed and bathroom; happy to recommend to all.

We stayed there for few nites early feb 2011. The location of the hotel was excellent, 5 mins walk from the metro and supermarket, theatres, fastfood and food joints. The room we stayed was a tad too small even for Asians but the hotel was well kept and decorated. Service staff was sufficient and adequate. We checked out with 3 huge luggages and asked […] for taxi to airport, he simply hold out the door and told us to grab one along the street with no attempt to assist us with the luggages or the hailing of cab. Vincci vía 66 in Madrid - very good!!!! Quality of hotel service, (very clean, morning buffet is dellcious) Convenience of hotel location, (the hotel is near metro Plaza de Espana!! and metro Callo, Sol, Santo domingo) all are good!

We recently returned from a stay at Vinci Via 66. It definitely helped that our room was on the 10th floor overlooking the Gran Via/with a balcony. As noted elsewhere, closing the windows each evening, ensured the room was quiet, without noise coming in from the Gran Via. The lack of a dresser ( there were cubicales to compensate) I found inadequate, […] along with the size of the closet, which was too small & the king size bed was 2 twins pushed together, which I found surprising for a four star hotel. This hotel was just perfect for our weekend trip to Madrid. The rooftop terrace was the ideal place for us to drink champagne and eat chocolate birthday cake. If I could improve this hotel at all I would put a kettle in the room

We had an excellent stay at Vincci Via 66. The staff did not bend over backwards, but they were extremely helpful and always provided a recommendation or secured a reservation when asked. The hotel is more upscale with an amazing rooftop. We really enjoyed the location being so close to the metro. There was nothing we wanted to see that was more than […] 15 minutes out of reach. The main street is filled with shopping and restaurants. We did not eat at the hotel, however we did have some champagne and skinless almonds on the roof one evening (very nice). We noticed that the light bulbs in the bathroom got very hot very quickly which made it a little uncomfortable to get ready at times, and the temperature of the room never quite cooled off enough to our liking. We slept with the window open 2 of the nights and just used earplugs to quite the sounds of the city. It was no problem, as most places we went in Spain are a little warmer as they don't seem to blast the AC like we do in America :). The hotel is well appointed and clean. The room was nice but a bit small. The bathroom was large and spacious. The breakfast was a bit pricey. The staff allowed us to stay in the room until 2:00pm when the check-out time was 12 noon. The hotel has a good location.

I enjoyed my stay at the Vinci Via 66. The staff was always very helpful. I heard them speak a number of languages including English, Dutch, and German. While the immediate neighborhood seemed like a place likely to attract tourists, it proved to be convenient to two train lines, and walking distance to great areas of the city off the beaten path. This hotel is in the heart of vibrant Madrid on Gran Via; however, you cannot hear any traffic or any noises inside the room. It has a beautiful terrace on the top that you must check out. The hotel was very clean and everyone was very helpful.

Great location with lovely roof top terrace. Very modern and whacky.

This hotel is in a really great location. Close to several metros. We even took the train from the airport which got us to the hotel in 30 minutes or so. Everything was generally a short ride away or walking distance. Really enjoyed our stay here. Bed was comfortable and clean. Staff wasn't super friendly but were courteous enough. roof top bar (trolley on wheels on a deck ) was closed when we arrived, a private function was on. There is one other room that you can ring for a drink and that it. Asked to speak to manager and he was not available for the weekend and was sick rest of week, no other manager contacted us during our stay. Very expensive room internet and films. Good location to walk to points of interest. Interesting decor...dark with mirrored doors and black walls...kind of scary at first. Shower needed to be fixed because the water from the shower head would spill over the tub onto the floor and leave a large puddle...perhaps a larger glass door or a shower curtain? This hotel is on the main avenue of Madrid, so that for me is a plus already. There was construction going on outside of our window, but only during the day time and you could barely hear it. With the exception of an air condition issue that took over 24 hours to fix, the room was quite nice and the staff friendly. Good location and not far from Metro. Rooftop had some lounge chairs which was a nice plus. Good view from up there.

Hotellet er helt greit. Det ligger veldig sentralt men fine små rom. Skyvedør inn til bad, liten tv med ok kanaltilbud. Det er bare speil på badet. All belysning styres og dimmes fra senga. Litt trøbbel med nøkkelkortet, måtte bytte et par ganger. Fin terrasse på taket. Frokosten var midt på treet med greit utvalg av pålegg, men lite brød/rundstykke […] typer. Alt i alt et ok hotell. Vincci via 66 har ett kanonläge mitt på huvudgatan. Det är rent och stiligt och får ett stort plus för en bra frukostbuffé! Spaavdelningen var fin men man får bara boka den en timma per rum och vistelse, men detta är ingenting de berättar så vill ni använda er av spa-avdelningen se till att boka i tid.
