the rooms are comfortable but a little in need of up-dating. the carpets are worn. Walls need refreshing.
"Make sure your room is on the second floor"
For the price is was ok. Convenient, with a large shopping mall and several very good restaurants right around the corner. It was older but well kept. The staff was very nice and helpful. I was delighted to find out that I was on the first floor and was able to park my car just a few feet away. What great convenience. The next monring at 5:30 I awoke […] to what sounded like the high heel heavy footsteps of the upstairs neighbor. I experienced this three of my four nights there. It's a wood frame building with no insulation between the floors. So if you're going to stay there, either request a second floor room or hope that there's no one in the room above you. Very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. The price was very reasonable.
Outdoors kept up well, personnel made you feel welcome, the room had all the amenities, breakfast was easily accessible, a positive experience.

I booked a room with a king bed, but was given a double queen without even an explanation on check-in.I didn't know what they gave me until I got to the room. When I asked them what happened to my King room, all they could offer was lame excuses about how they must have been all given away. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a lovely accommodation for the price. The rooms were tastefully decorated in furnishings reminiscent of "Old nostalgic California." Everything was super clean. Restaurants and shopping were within the next block. We really enjoyed our stay.

I was a little nervous because on hotels.com i accidentally input one person was staying instead of our family of four, oops. I noticed this a couple days before check in and I promptly called the hotel directly to correct my mistake. I talked to a very nice lady who fixed the problem without a fuss. While I was on the phone with her I asked if I could […] request a street level room with door access to the parking lot. She told me that the internet bookings were always put into the 2 upper levels. I didn't argue, but was a little bummed out because of the pain it would be to lug kids up the stairs and through the halls. But we did get a great deal online and the hotel had good reviews. When we arrived, as we looked for our room, I was pleasantly surprised that she did end up putting us in a corner room on street level! Conveniently right across from the breakfast room! Overall our stay was nice, however the bed and the pillows were very uncomfortable. If you like really hard, firm mattresses and pillows with no give, then you'll be okay. Also the bathroom door is very close to the toilet so it's kind of difficult maneuvering in and out.

I found the Laguna Hills Lodge to be outstanding. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds, with all the flowering plants was beautiful. If I had to find one thing wrong I would say the beds were a bit hard, but a softer bed is my preference. It might be just fine for someone who likes a firm mattress. We stayed at the Laguna Hills Lodge while visiting the area for a wedding. The accommodations met our needs entirely and the included breakfast was perfect with a variety of choices. The in room coffee maker, iron, and fridge were put to good use ...and we even had time to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Very satisfied overall.

"great place"
this hotel is set in rose gardens, just across from mall. It has easy access to freeway, but just far enough not to hear it. Rooms are have ample room, with fridge/ freezer, microwave etc. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly. Pool not very big, and had small hot tub. Safe was large enough to fit laptop. Would stay here again.

EVERY worker greeted us with a smile and a "hello". The room was not only clean, it sparked. As a first time guest I was unaware that the rooms were in separate buildings as well as the continental breakfast and that there were no elevators if you needed to access the second floor. Nor was there anyone to assist me with my luggage to reach the second floor and use the stairs. However the cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating depending […] on our changing daily schedule. When one of us left a personal belonging behind, it had been turned in to the front desk by the time I called to check on it , within hours of checking out. It was easy to make arrangements to have it returned as we were already out of town. Other members of our group enjoyed the use of the heated pool and jacuzzi even though it is called a heated spa. Having a microwave and refrigerator available in the room was a necessity, which is standard. All of us would definitely return in the future for another stay and recommend it to almost anyone. It totally met our expectations especially for the price. There are restaurants 2 min. away. The pool and hot tub were crystal clean. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The garden was beautiful and well kept. A well deserved 2 thumbs up.

"A slice of heaven"
Our stay at The Laguna Hills Lodge was like a slice of heaven. From check in to check out we were treated like the only guest. The rooms were wonderful...I had read the pillows were hard so I brought my own. There was also some talk about the fire station making a lot of noise...DID NOT HAPPEN DURING OUR STAY. Our room was always spotless upon our return. […] It was convenient to every thing we wanted to do from business to pleasure to sightseeing...perfect location.
