Savannah Suites Hampton — Hampton

Hotel hallways had a pungent odor, but room was clean. Lock on our room door was shoddy - opened easily with a little pressure on the door. Overall clientele of the hotel is sketchy. Would not stay again.

Needed a room with a kitchenette because we were bringing our own food. I assumed when it said there was "cookware" it meant a pot and pan, but it meant plastic spatula and spoon. We checked in after hours and the woman was very nice. What was not nice was being woken up at 4:45AM every day with a wake up call we didn't request. Also, the morning after […] we checked in, housekeeping knocked on our door at 9AM and woke us up. The shower head was extremely lower than normal which was okay for y 5'1 stature but not for my boyfriend who had to duck under the shower head. Everything in the room was very clean and everyone who worked there was nice. The hotel is located near plenty of stores and restaurants which was nice and only a 10 minute drive to the beach. Don't know where they got the avatar picture of the hotel, but that wasn't of the Savannah Suites Hampton I stayed at! Older hotel and a little run down but my room was clean and the price was ok. My room had an kitchenette. Electronic key card lock down is at 11:00 pm, literally! If you are checking in after 11:00 pm, you have to call for someone (number […] on the door) to let you in because there isn't a manned front desk (from what I could tell). We were so disappointed as we made our reservations online and when we checked in I gave them the two internary numbers as we were staying for two nights. The front desk receptionist was named Jessica and I specifically asked her if we were going to have any problems because I had made two different reservations; however it was a continuous stay. She […] stated no that she would alert the next shift of our stay. Needless to say, she did not and there a manager knocking on our door at 11:30 the next morning as I was coming out of the shower, asking if we were staying another night. So I had to go thru this again and not once did he ever apologize for the inconvenience. Both nights there was so much noise that we could not sleep. And to add to the noise, one of the hotel employees, was playing very loud music for over 8 hours. You could not sleep peacefully, there were patrons that were using extreme profanity down the hallways after we had checked in and it could be heard by all, even the front desk and not one time did a manager address the issue. Then to top it all off, the last day of our stay before we could get to the front desk to check out, there was a manager with his clip board coming to check to see if we were staying another night. We had paid for only two nights, THANK GOD. We will not be staying here again as they did not even have clean linens (towels) for the guest the next day. Uzziniet vairāk

My recent five day stay at Savannah Suites was horrible . From the unfriendly maintenance man to the other guests congregation right outside my door, and also the loud cursing and music to the children running up and down the corridors. My stay was horrible . There what appeared to be actual thugs hanging around the front of the hotel not to mention […] the filth of the carpet both in and outside of the room . The only thing needed here is the carpets in the hallway needs cleaning. But the carpets did not reflect the niceness of the rooms. They probably struggle keeping the carpet clean because they have kids throughout the building. This is an extended stay place so take that into consideration when you go. Parking lot was cramped. Hallways and elevator smelled like stale cigarettes. Room was small and uninviting. The bathroom was clean and we had clean towels, but the bed was uncomfortable and there were only 2 small pillows on it when we got there. Had to ask for more. Glad it was only for a couple nights.

It smelled like stale smoke and I felt as though I was living with the homeless. Even though I opened my overnight bag briefly I still had to wash everything from the smell. The people next door with very loud yet security said we were and all we were doing was playing a board game. I will definitely be checking out a room prior to bringing up the  […] luggage. I checked into the Savannah Suites in Hampton Rds VA, and from the get go, i knew this was going to be bad. Went into the room, and the pillows on the bed were flat, went to the desk, she went into a room she said that was held for the workers, and pulled out a big fluffy pillow, then it said wireless internet, nooo, its cable. And you have to walk […] back to the front desk to get a cord. Took a nap and the mattress had a sink hole in the middle, so me and my boyfriend kept rolling to the middle. Got up, went to do my hair the outlet in the bathroom, did not work, so had to plug my hairdryer into the kitchenette, and do my hair with no mirror. The water in the bathroom faucet was swtched, the hot was cold the cold was hot. So go out, to out event come back about 1, and fell asleep. At 3 am, is sounded like a vaccume running in the hall, we both woke up, and it stopped, then it started again a few minuetes later, I finnally had to get up, get dressed and go out in the hall to see what was going on. 2 guys were using a carpet cleaner to suck up water in the hall, and had a industry fan running also. I told them it was 330 we needed sleep to be somewhere in the AM, they stopped. When we got up at 7 becasue the guy next door was blasting his tv since 6, we checked out. Uzziniet vairāk

why is the shower built for midgets. im not a big or tall guy. but even i had to squat or kneel under the shower. also its too crammed in with the toilet into a broom like closet. hvacs are way too noisy. walls are too thin. beds are hard in some areas and soft in others. room service did a good job. the front desk staff was good too. the breakfast […] food was sub-par. eggs were cold, bagels almost stale, yogurt tasted metallicy, but the coffee was good. The room was clean & beauatifuly decorated, BUT in the middle of the night I went to the bathroo and there was a roach. My husband and I left immediately. Decent value for the money. Many people live in the hotel so there was always kids running around. 2 stars is about right, though. Don't expect much but an inexpensive hotel and you won't be disappointed. Some shady people hanging around but I never felt threatened.

I was down for a family reunion it wasn't my first pick but I waited to long to get a room at another desired location. The price was cheap and you get what you pay for. The only thing I did not like was that it is an extended stay hotel meaning people live there. The halls had an aroma to it from diffrent familys cooking and kids playing in the halls. […] I will not be staying there again. When we arrived at the hotel, we came after hours, we received our keys, went to the room and it smelled like smoke, and the bed and pillows and just the whole room was more like a motel than a hotel! We only had 3 pillows! When we asked for a pillow, we were told it would take 3 hours for them to dry??? What?? Where they do that at?? Where should I start, during "check in" people are hanging out in the front of the door and in the parking smoking and drinking. No Security, they have a big sign advertising monthly rent. The smell and No AC in the hallway that works. The AC in the room is poor and Sheet on the bed where really poor and dirty. Fire alarm when off around midnight because of kids playing with the alarms. The hotel seemed to be over run with kids playing in the halls and being loud all day/night. Highly unsatisfied with they way the hotel handeled the situation and since the front desk closed at 11pm there was no way to get immediate assiatance.

I suppose the summer rates were not yet in effect for the price was excellent in contrast to other nearby hotels charging much more.

Warning to other potential guess. This hotels offers extended stay....weekly & monthly. Bed was lumpy, exhaust fan in bathroom did not work, room was not clean....previous tenants used wash cloth hanging on the shower rod. Needless to say will not be staying at the hotel again.

Terrible hotel, old, dirty mainly for families that have no where else to live, beds were dirty, linen old, floors filthy. High traffic in halls at night, people yelling and slamming doors, no front staff after 11 pm, when anything goes. We enjoyed our stay at Savannah Suites. The only thing we did not like was the condition of the bed. The mattress in room 111 was the worst mattress I have ever tried to sleep on. It needs to be replaced immediately. Other than that everything was good.
