not bad place to stay, not too expensive ... about 10-15 mins walk to Vatican museums main entrance .... our room was quiet with a view to opposite garden .... I missed possibility of breakfast, especially when "kitchen" in our room was very poorly equipped (bringing 1 l of water to boil took nearly 1 hour ! ( one can have a good s.x, shave and shower […] before morning tea .. :-) ), there were 2 refrigerators in our room ! , but both empty (one would appreciate a bottle of water, beer etc. when checks in late night .. ) ... so, generaly, there are things which can be improved ... (maybe one chair is not enough in double room .. ) ... but OK, room was spacious, windows facing garden ( a bit difficult to operate though ..), reasonable bathroom and a bed just as much comfortable to have a proper rest after all day long walking around Roma .... :D Uzziniet vairāk

The Villa Tassoni is more a flat service than a regular hotel. There is no restaurant and no room service. My "apartment" had a living room and a small built-in kitchen, besides the bedroom, a freshly renovated bathroom with marble lined walls, and even a porch with table and chair. It is installed on a stylish "palazzo" on a residential neighborhood. […] There is very little action, night life and attractions, near this location though. But nearby there is a place for breakfast -- cappuccino and cornettos -- a tobacco store to purchase, among other things, bus/metro tickets, a bakery, and a couple of restaurants; Italian and Chinese. There is also a Laundromat somewhat close to it; requrires a 15-min walk to via Pereira Romeo Rodriguez. The metro station -- Cipro -- is at a 15-min walk downhill. Really pleased with the hotel. The greeting was warm and friendly and thankfully the staff's English was considerably better than our Italian! The accomodation was bigger than expected with a double room, a twin room, small kitchen and sitting room. Yes the decor and fittings were a little tired but it was clean. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the Vatican, unfortunately it is uphill all the way back but the taxi fare was around 10 euros if you can't face it. There is also a metro station at the bottom of the hill and for a pittance you can buy a day ticket to get around to further attractions like the collosseum, trevi fountain etc. don't forget to put the water heater on before you leave your room and it's only a small tank so don't dawdle in the shower. Not sure if there would have been enough water for a bath as there was no plug. All in all a great little hotel. Hice Little hotel in Rome if you need to be in that part of the city. It is located 25 minutes in taxi of Via del Corso. During my stay I even saw a wedding celebration at the hotel. Good WiFi (free). No breakfast served, but there is a bar / cafe very close and for dinner two minutes away from a nice pasta / pizza place.

Hotel was priced right for our budget to Rome. It is about a 15 minute walk from the Metro station, which can seem far after a day of sightseeing. Rooms were small but quaint. You have to provide your own dish soap, dish towel, laundry detergent and toilet paper, which is not convenient while traveling. The bed was also really hard.

Front desk personnel were polite but evasive when told air conditioning was not working. Having to open the windows at night to get some air current in the room it was impossible to sleep with the traffic noise from the street. Hot water was available but had to wait over 15 min. for the water to warm for the next person.

Villa Tassoni is a wonderful place - more like an apartment! Very beautiful - it has rich history - built in the 1850's by Count Tassoni for famous guests! Fruit trees, etc right outside the window. 1 mile walk to Vatican City - Cipro subway station 5 min walk away. Francesco is the most informative host you will find!

We were 3 adults and we had the suite at this hotel. The oven, microwave,shower and the telephone didn't work, they were there but it was like a joke. The refrigerator and the microwave were nasty and sticky. If you like to take a shower every night after being in the sun walking the streets of Rome then this hotel is not for you. We didn't have enough […] warm water for the three of us. Just one person could take a shower with warm water. It was a nightmare because for the other two the water was freezing. They just change the towels 2 times per week. When we would take a shower, it was a mess because the shower was broke and the whole bathroom was wet. It was horrible. They do not clean the rooms. They just make the beds and that's it they don't change and clean anything. The staff at front desk were multilingual. The best of the hotel was the staff at the front desk, they were nice and helpful about directions of places and the location was ok. The building that was next to our patio was horrible. There was graffiti and a lot of trash. I'm pretty sure there were homeless people living there. I did not feel very safe staying at this hotel, or leaving my valuables at the hotel. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood lushly filled with trees, flowers, birds, and great views, this hotel was originally a villa. The bathroom had a typical european shower stall and was a bit difficult to manoeuver but there was plenty of hot water for both of us to have a shower in the morning. THE HOTEL/ROOM: My wife and I stayed a couple weeks at this location. We would definitely stay again but the hotel is dated. The desk staff were friendly and all spoke English well. Our early check out was made a bit odd/difficult by the fact that the desk is not manned between 11pm- 7am. However, after talking to the deskman, a solution to our problem […] was found. The room itself (studio) was small but functional; having a tiny kitchenette literally in a small closet, a table big enough for two chairs, closet and drawer space for clothing, a double bed, a small bathroom, and a dorm-sized fridge. A couple notable positive aspects of the room were the high ceilings and the large outer windows that let plenty of natural light into the space. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided. However, there is no "do not disturb" option,and the cleaning staff will show up early. There were a couple negatives about the hotel including the putrid smell emanating somewhere from within our bathroom since day one, the shower pressure was a literal trickle unless the hot and cold knobs were repeatedly turned up, and there was always the possibility of being burnt by the water (which would come to a boil in the sink and shower if the hot water knob was turned up enough). There was also a small leak in the hot water heater, which was above the kitchenette, and subsequently dripped brown water onto the cabinet and sink. It never got very cold in the room, but one could not turn the heat above 64 F, which led to a bit of a chill at night. LOCATION: The location of the hotel was pretty good. It's not in the middle of everything, which is actually kind of nice, but it's close enough to transportation in order to get around pretty easily. It's fifteen minutes walk from the Cipro metro station and the vatican walls. The 913 and 999 bus stops are right across the street (which one can take right to central Rome). A good clean, spacious suite in a good location, very pleased in general. Friendly helpful staff. On the downside, the cleaners woke us every morning at 8:30 with a quick knock and then walking straight in and if you chose to get up late there was no hot water. Overall, positive though.

So we arrived in Rome didn't have a clue how to get to the hotel. We asked taxi drivers at the airport (fco) one said 75 euros but we got one for 50 euros in the end. The cab experience was an exPerience in it's self. Mad drivers out there. We got to the hotel after about 30 minutes in cab when we got there we was greeted by francesco he was very lowly […] and helpful through our stay. So would rate this hotel good more on him rather than the rooms. The room was ok not amazing but was a budget hotel we was out all dy so was a place to sleep and get ready. Bath was rather small. But was fine. From this hotel It's within Walkin distance to the Vatican which we walked took about 30 minutes. We didn't really have a clue ware we was walkin but found it easy. To get to Rome central was easy we got the metro from cipro to spagna 1 euro and was easy to find everything metro finish at 9 and we got a taxi back which was under 15 euros. When we left we decided to get train to airport. So from cipro to termini 1 euro the termini to airport 14 euros. Was very easy. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We weren't after anythihing super "honeymoon-ish", we more wanted something convenient and reasonablly priced. The customer service was good and all the staff we met understood and spoke English well. It was in a reasonable location and we were able to get to the metro easily enough. There were also convienent […] buses which went by (infact they stopped less then 50 meters from the hotel in both directions). We faced two issues with the room. The first was that the "double" bed was indeed two single beds crammed next to eachother, very uncomfortable. The bedroom itself was quite roomy however. The second issue was that the placement of the toilet in the bathroom ment that your right side was touching the heater, your left side the sink, and your knees were touching the bidet. This was poor design and made it uncomfortable to go to the toilet. This is the kind of hotel you should go to if you are a lone traveler. The fridge needed to be defrosted, the mattress should be replaced with a firm one and the shower should be placed in a different spot over the bath - and with a "whole" shower screen all would have been perfect.
