Very short trip to the airport. Not much else to do near the hotel, and very limtied local places to eat. Beware of the pizza place nearest the hotel, at the end of the streeet across and to the right. We ate there and paid 30 euros for 2 pizzas and wine. According to the menu, it should have been closr to 23 euros (possibly because we sat there to […] eat)? I didn't question the price, as it was our last night in Italy, and it wasn't worth the hassle, but did feel a bit ripped off. This was almost as much as our full dinner with wine the night before in Venice, so next time, I would order it as takeout, and clarify the price before paying. The fruit at the fruit stand next door to the pizza place was good, especially the cherries. As stated in ealier reviews, the wifi is terrible anywhere away from the office, and unusable in the rooms. The continental breakfast was ok, and the shuttle was on time. There is some sort of tax on the shuttle,so, even though the sign says it is 6 euros, it is actually around 8 euros, which is still less than a taxi. Overall no complaints about the hotel itself. Wonderful, family-run, thirteen room hotel, Beautiful, comfortable rooms, Good European breakfast in a picture perfect tiny breakfast room. Parking not free and not on site, but close by, buses 20 min. into the old city with stops nearby. Owner and family very helpful and eager to please. Enjoyed our stay and would go back.

They told us there was a shuttle, which in the US usually means complimentary when they are close to an airport, but they charged us for it! Also - our flight was very early - prior to the start of their shuttle service and the taxi charge to go the 3km to the airport was 20 euro so you may want to take that into consideration in your budgeting. Minimal confort and quite noisy with airplanes and neighbors, during the day and evening. Wireless internet signal very weak so that there was no reception on the iPad. Breakfast very ordinary, except for the coffee machine. Transport to the airport very convenient. Excellent restaurant in the neighborhood recommended by the receptionist.

The common area for wi-fi is the lobby which is a 10x12 room with the recepionist's desk and a sagging love seat. There are no restaurants near by. It is a residential neighborhood with no sidewalks. After checking in to the room to get some sleep before flying the next morning, had to call the front desk to ask for a different room due to the smell of cigarette smoke - it was causing headaches. The guy at the reception was kind enough to let us use a computer to check-in and print my boarding pass, but forget about using Wifi in your room. Not reflective of the photos on the site. In a pretty ugly area and the bed was small and a real hard mattress. Very drab room. WiFi only worked when you went out on the balcony in front of the room, and stand in the middle of guests walking to their room. Not what I expected based on the website reviews.

The Inn was nice. I'd probably stay here again if I had an early flight out of FCO. My only complaint is the WiFi didn't work in my room and we were directly over the office in room 14. So, while it wasn't awful to have to sit outside or in the lobby, it just would have been better in the comfort of my room. They have an elevator. Breakfast is simple […] stuff. The shuttle to/from the airport is 6 Euro per person which is a little cheaper than a taxi (15Euro) but it only picks up at the airport after 4pm. And to save you time, you get taxis into Fiumicino right outside terminal 2 in front of Parking lot D (you have to cross the road and go to the parking lot). The other taxis only want to take people to Rome. The sea is about a 2km walk from the hotel and there is a fruit market and pizzeria at the end of the street. I'd recommend the little pizzeria, Pizza A Taglio. They were so nice! They gave our toddler stuff we didnt order and they really tried to help us out. It was also very affordable. One note, take mosquito repellent!!! I got 12, no exaggeration!, mosquito bites on my ankles (my only exposed skin) within 30 minutes of being in Fiumicino. They're everywhere!! Also, nothing is open in the area on Sunday. Seriously, nothing but some pizzerias if it's the right time. Rooms are clean and fairly spacious. The neighborhood is fairly quiet and is mid to low scale residential, not commercial (but there are lots of barking dogs). The hotel wasn't as nice as the pictures I had seen for sure. Once inside, there were hairs in the bed sheets. The shower has a hand held sprayer, but not one that you can put up and use so you have to hold it the whole time you're showering. Rented a triple to catch an earloy flight. Two couldn't find. I did. They ended up at Marriott. It is eficirncies in an apartment building in a res. neighborhood. The one man staff got me a good breakfast and on a shuttle for my flight. It served it's purpose.

The room we had was extremely dated, neighborhood was run down and dirty. Their idea of breakfast included was pathetic. The only good part of this stay was that it is within minutes of the Fumicino airport. The third party shuttle service ( arranged by front desk) was reasonably priced and on time.
