"a very pleasant hotel"
We got greeted by a very nice friendly receptionist who was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. He showed us to our room and even offered to carry my big bag. The room was lovely, clean en suite, not huge but wasn't expecting any different. The bed was really comfy, nice mattress and nice big flat screen tv on the wall. The bathroom was spotless […] and worked well and everyday we had our room cleaned while we were out so nice clean fresh towels when we got back. The breakfast was very nice, wasn't huge but we had extra toast and always came away feeling nicely satisfied. Overall we would not hesitate in staying again. "Room is size of closet but fabulous location"
I was on the 6th floor (no elevator) and my room was the size of a closet. No joke. I did not measure but the "room" felt about 10' x 6' and the "bathroom" felt about 4' x 10'. When I was in bed, I could almost reach both sides of the room at the same time. It is that small. Staff very friendly and helpful especially when we arrived to help orient us to quickly start our sightseeing. Good instructions on where to go and places to eat. Very good location. Convenient and close to a number of facilities. Friendly staff.Lovely breakfast. Only inconvenience is that there is no lift to the top floor which means one has to climb up stairs which can be very tiring especially after a whole day of walking/sightseeing. "Tudor Court-great location but tiny room"
I'm giving my rating a 4 even though the room was absolutely tiny, because it is a great location, good service, clean and safe, and it is a good buy for the location. The front desk staff was really friendly, but the guy who checked us in absolutely insisted on giving a 10-minute spiel on all the things I knew and had planned already (e.g., airport […] shuttle, tours, sites, etc.) - I think he was probably paid by some tourism company to do that. That was a bit annoying since we were just tired and wanting to get to our room (and I have lived in London prior so already knew all this info and wasn't interested in guided tours), but he was really nice and friendly, so we dealt with it.
