Spacious clean rooms, really helpful friendly staff speaking good English. We used it as a base to explore the desert and mountains to the west for which it was ideal. Restaurant, bar and lush courtyard with swimming pool. Only 5 minutes by taxi from the airport, we walked in 20. If you are looking for something slightly more authentic than a 'Soulless […] Western tourist hotel' it is a good choice. Ask at reception if they can arrange a day trip by 4x4 with Bedouin driver into the desert and stay to watch the sunset. Don't take nothing from minibar or you charge you like second room price. Guys on reception at check in told me minibar is free of charge. But at check out time charge me for everything.. For example, one can of domestic beer cost me about 6$.

excellent value for Money, the hotel apartment was very comfortable and spacious. the staff was very helpful. but the pool is too small and the food is good only for the price. it is recommended for family stay..

Just came back from my first visit to Egypt with my husband, we stayed for one week. The weather was quite warm in the day but at night cold due to this being winter. The last two days the weather was great. We ate at wonderful restaurants, Thai, home food, and even McDs. Smoked Sheesha, went to other hotels and had use of the beach which was wonderful, […] and a good time in the hot tub! Overall we had a wonderful holiday, visited Luxor, and experienced the valley of the Kings, drove a speed boat, and did the desert safari, great fun.. would bring the kids next time, because at this hotel there is lots for the kids to do with food and slides, activities to keep the little one's occupied all day, whilst you relax and enjoy. Hotel itself was good; clean, well maintained and staff/ service very good. The location is ok, but there isn't much around and we couldn't find a way to get to the beach. The time of year (late Jan) was quiet so there isn't much to do in the area. In saying that, the main town centre is only a 10 min bus ride away. The food at the restaurant is terrible […] (and I'm not a fussy eater!) so I'd recommend the large cafe garden next door or go into town or the marina to eat. If you ask the hotel to book you a taxi, ask the driver the price in front of the hotel staff because they will always charge you more than the hotel say they will. Uzziniet vairāk

Good value for money, ample space. If you want internet, do not beleive you will have it in your room, unless you are in 1st floor. The corner room 102 at the pool can avail you partly with internet, but there is a neighbour house with a lot of noise from playing children up to late evenings. For the price offered, this hotel was a give-away. The apartments offer a lot of comfort and luxe. A perfect hotel for people who don't need to be straight at the beach.

Very large rooms , very clean and comfortable , well maintained , Excellent Staff < average breakfast and location but below than average neighborhood, its safe but mostly under construction. though its close to the pedestrian promenade and 10 minutes walk to little Buddah . i would come back

A great place for independent travellers. A lounge with yv and balcony, a bedroom, a kuitchen with all that is required to cook and a bathroom, and the apartment overlooks the pool. Excellent accommodation for those who like to be independent and do their own cooking. The staff are great, the rooms clean, the pool is in a good location, scrupulously cleran and the hotel is well maintained. If there is a oproblem they send someone to fix it immediastely. Staff are very helpful and do all they can to please. Wifi is free but in reception […] and around the pool area only as the signal is we4ak in the rooms. But it provides an opportunity to meet the othe4 guests who are going on line. . It is easy to get to the airport and to town and taxis are very cheap. The only negative comment I have is the standard of food, but as breakfast is free, as there are good eating places close by and as I can cook for myself, this is no big deal. Clearly, the investors in this hotel have spent a lot of money on construction and furnishings and don't intend to lose out by poor maintenance. The reception is attractive and spotless. The receptionist, Mahmoud, could not have been more helpful. From chefs to waiters and groundstaff, all were polite and very friendly. The manager is a charming chap. […] The room - more like a flat - was immaculate and decorations are of good taste. Food is well prepared to order and can be taken at the room's dining table if required. I chose this hotel because it is near the airport but I never heard an aircraft. Priced right - friendly and helpful people at front desk. My son and I were on a 7 day live aboard SCUBA holiday in Feb 2011. Stayed there before and again after diving. Most enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I stayed in this huge, new, beautiful suite that included living/dining room, separate kitchen and bedroom for an unbelievely low price. A nice, extensive breakfast was included. The pool area was very nice, the staff wonderful. It was in more of a residentual area, but beach was walking distance as was a major resort/shopping area. I chose to walk […] back and forth and it took about 10 minutes. A taxi to beach, airport or town was reasonable (around $2-4). the best value for the money you can get, the rooms are actually a suite , its a 42 something suites, you have a bed room a living room with LCD & A/C a kitchen/clean pool BUT very small, a already know this was not a big problem

For the price, this was amazing. A full apartment, really, with a fridge, two rooms. Quite nice. The only downside is that there is not much in the neighborhood. For dinner every night I walked about 1/2 mile to the area near the Siva hotel.

Well, I slept the night before in a much more expensive hotel and it was far from satifying. But when I arrived at Sol Y mar I was impressed. Friendly service, everything nice and clean... and your room is a freaking suite! Big screen TV, big bed, nice shower.... andand I was totally happy. We are traveling a lot in Egypt, from north - Cairo or Alexandria to south - Luxor and Assuan. Das Hotel ist super für Leute, die nicht zwingend einen Strandzugang brauchen. Für uns als Taucher war es wirklich sehr gut, da wir sowieso jeden Tag auf und im Rotem Meer waren. Sonor appena stato in questo albergo. Lo scelto in base alle recensione sul vostro sito e perché ero a Hurghada per una settimana di immersioni, perciò non avevo la necessità di un albergo al mare, quindi corrispondeva a i miei bisogni. Le stanze sul davanti sono assai rumorose per via della strada molto battuta davanti all'albergo e al '"vizietto " […] che hanno i conducenti di suonare spesso il clacson. Le stanze dietro sono molto più tranquille ma ogni mattina c'è la "sveglia" con la prima preghiera delle 04.30 . Il personale della ricezione è molto cortese e disponibile, quello del servizio è piu occupato a fumare e a guardare la televisione che c'è al bar , all'entrata del ristorante. Non ho cenato al ristorante perché era vuoto e spesso con le luci spente. Il buffet della prima colazione è limitato e per 7 giorni ho mangiato le stess cose. L'albergo non offre animazione e non è proprio vicino al centro di Hurghada perciò bisogna prevedere di spostarsi col taxi. L'unica animazione che ho trovato in zona è la Village Road che offre vari ristoranti , negozi e shopps egiziani. Uzziniet vairāk

Of all the Hotels in Hurghada this is the best we´ve ever been to (I came to Egypt the first time in 1984). Suites supernice, big and clean, staff absolutely top! Try the food in the restaurant - especially the Pizza margherita was the best we had in a long time! Nice and friendly room-service. 10 Egyptian pound (approx. 1,50 Euro) makes them do miracles. […] By mistake I took the key with me to El Gouna - the boys from the reception came for no extra charge and got it from there.
