The clear advantage of the hotel is its location with a beautiful choral reef and great diving spots just a short boat ride in front of the hotel. Therefore the Hotel makes it a great spot for diving and snorkeling to explore the underwater beauty of Tioman and to see beautiful chorals, and animals like reef sharks, turtles, stingrays etc. Also the […] location is also great to explore the nearby jungle and make great trips to other areas of the Islands. In addition, the resort provides the most comprehensive resort facilities on the Island including tennis courts, a beautiful Golf course, Spa and a variety of restaurants and bars. Unfortunately we were very disappointed about the rooms and the service mentality. The standard chalets are very run down. There is no safe in it, phone was not working and both bathroom devices and minibar were old and rusty. Also the service mentality was lacking service orientation. While some of the staff was very friendly, others seemed to be very bored and only focused on selling additional services or products. Maybe we were just unlucky with some of the staff. All in all the location is great and the resort provides good amenities of a 4 star resort but all in all we were very disappointed by the service mentality and the run-down rooms as we would have expected both to be considerably better, as this is one of the most expensive hotels in Tioman to stay at. A beautiful, small group of villas around a lovely pool and tropical plants and trees. Excellent service by staff. Very comfortable bed. I had Terrace Room, No. 10, (not one of the villas) but enjoyed it and the view of the sunset from my private balcony. The breakfast is basic but they give you a made-to-order hot entree and choice of coffees. I also […] enjoyed the very fresh tropical juices. The pool is lovely with a nice poolside bar and very reasonably priced tropical drinks. I had spa treatments everyday at the hotel Spa and the whole experience was just exquisite. Wonderful hotel. The location is out of town but it isn't far from the center of everything and the hotel easily arranges transport. It was also a great plus during the floods as many of the hotels in town were flooded whereas the Sojourn was not. We didn't want to leave!!!

We had a great time at Sojourn, all the staff were super nice and helpful. The place is far from pub street but the hotel provides you with a tuktuk driver who will wait for you the whole time you go around. Everything was just perfect with this hotel, excepted that with 40C (>104F) heat the pool was unusable (water temperature was probably >30C). We had booked this hotel based on the location, and the availability of the pool (having a young kid) was a critical aspect for our choice. Zeer goed hotel met een prima service, het is een hotel met een tiental zeer verzorgde villas en ik denk een 2-tal kamers boven de restaurant en receptie area.
