Metadee Resort and Villas — Phuket

This hotel is located in the centre of kata beach with all amenities within a few minutes. It is set back from the main road, so remains quiet. There is a "buggy" shuttle up and down to the main road, so you don't have to walk, although it really isn't that far. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with a large selection to […] choose from. Room was very clean and spacious. The only issue we had was it was very hot when we returned after a night out and took quite a while for the aircon to cool it to a reasonable temperature in order to sleep. The pool area is very nice with plenty of space for everyone. The beach is also close. There is an abundance of bars and restaurants around the area - all very nice. We particularly liked the "autobar" - a converted VW Campervan which parked a few streets away - great cocktails and entertainment. Don't miss a trip to the islands - truly spectacular. I booked this hotel with a certain amount of trepidation, particularly as the reviews seemed to have started to turn into a bit more of a mixed bag of late. Upon arrival, I feared that my concerns might be about to come true, as the approach/entrance is not picturesque, and it does all seem rather smaller/compact in real life than the wide angle lens […] photographs suggest. However, the receptionists were charming and we were greeted with cold towels and drinks. It is true that their English is not perfect, but it is infinitely superior to my Thai. After giving us a little scare when we misunderstood what they were telling us, we were delighted to find out that we were being upgraded from a pool view room, to a private pool villa. Whilst this undoubtedly improved our stay/perception, I hope that my views have not been too clouded by our good fortune! The villa was very spacious, with an enormous bed in the middle of the room (a little too firm for my wife's tastes), complete with mosquito netting. There was also a separate day bed and usual desk, tea/coffee facilities etc., etc. The bathroom was light bright and large and opened out into the private pool area with shaded table & chairs, sunbeds, and an outside “rain” shower. It is fair to say that some furniture/fittings/décor are showing some wear and tear, but overall it is not yet a problem. I think that part of the issue of the appearance is that most of the furniture (verandahs, sunbeds etc.) are all wooden and therefore are showing signs of weathering. However, overall things appear to remain in a good state of repair. Although we had the use of our small private pool, we preferred to sit by the main pool as there was more shade and most particularly, more breeze than was available within our own enclosure. There is also the benefit of the large pool, of which enough has already been said by others. My partner and I have just spent a week (4/2/2012-12/2/2012.what a fantastic hotel from the front of house staff to the cleaners it was brilliant and I would recommend this hotel to anyone especially couples who want a peaceful holiday as it is set back of the road or you can stroll up the road for night life or get a ride in the hotels buggy.on arrival […] we decided to up grade to a pool access deluxe villa which was superb,indoor,outdoor drench shower huge bath ,flat screen tv the list goes on and at a great price which the manager was happy to barter me for,nothing is set price in Thailand ,but the best thing of all is the magnificent pool meandering through the hotel grounds it is sheer paradise ,we are in no doubt going back to this hotel as soon as my next holidays come up.10 out of 10. Very well maintained gardens and pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The room was well kept and had a great bathtub and rain-like shower!

I stayed there on my honeymoon and the hotel was great. We arrived early (0300) and the hotel let us drop off our bags until check in time. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The location was very good. It was off of the main road which kept the noise down but the area around the hotel was still very accessible. To get to the beach they […] even had golf carts the staff would drive you around in. The only bad thing about the hotel was they didn't have the type of room we had reserved originally. They gave us a room just below the type we booked for the first night, the room was still very impressive. They also included a dinner, spa, and city tour for 2 for our "inconvenience". First off, I'm a picky and more importantly a seasoned traveler. It was my first time to Phuket and my dilemma with selecting the right place to stay at was I wanted to relax and have close access to city life and entertainment. Metadee fit the bill! It's far enough from the main road that you have full relaxation rights to your room or the pool areas. […] I highly recommend you try and get a room with private access to the pool. These offer a private balcony you can sit out on, as well as dip in the pool a mere couple of meters away from your bed. How great is that? The restaurant menu was hearty and reasonably priced with a mix of Thai and Western dishes, all very delicious, I didn't have a single bad dish, I was here for 8 days and it never got old. The front desk was very helpful with arranging tours and tickets to shows as well as transportation to and from. I would definitely stay here again. Great for a single traveler, couples, friends, families with or without kids. Metadee accommodates everyone's needs for sure. Free internet and breakfast with every room is a great perk too! Breakfast consists of a mix of Asian and Western selections, as well as an omelet chef ready to custom make any omelet you want! I would grade this property slightly higher than a 4 personally. We really liked this hotel. Very nice, big and clean rooms (we stayed at deluxe pool view). Beautiful pool area. Good location not direkt on the main road (hotel offers shuttle all the time from hotel and the 300 meter to the mainroad). Delicius breakfast. This is de second time i stayed in Metadee. Last year i booked their private pool villa with my friends. We simply loved our room and had a great time swimming in their spectacular pool. De villa is exactly de same as pictures show in hotel.com. This year i booked their pool access for a short getaway, for my bf birthday. Pool access room was the star attraction...the overall ambience was extremely good and relaxing. Hotel staff were very co-operative, hospitable and responding to our needs. Highly recommended for families!!! Would definitely like to stay here again.

Over all we where happy with our choice of hotels.You must book a pool access room.On saying that, that was what we did when we arrived late at night the room had a musty smell about it and not a lot of room ,but ok. The next day we upgraded to a villa as we where staying 8 more nights .So glad we did we loved it and plain to go back.Was a bit annoyed […] when I found that other people had done the same and didnt have to pay for upgrade,and didnt stay as long as us.and the hotel was not booked out. We stayed at the Metadee Resort for three nights after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We were certainly not disappointed and it was the best accommodation of our trip. From the moment we arrived the lovely Teena checked us in promptly and helped us with any queries we had during our stay. The resort is beautiful with lovely lush tropical gardens and […] a very large pool which wraps around the whole complex so most ground floor rooms have direct pool access. You need to be a marathon swimmer to swim from one end to the other! A nice pool is important if you like swimming as the sea is quite dangerous in July when we were there – dumpy waves and strong rips. Food and drinks can be ordered from the main pool area throughout the day. Our room was spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. Computer access was available at reception and the restaurant with free wi-fi around the complex. A courtesy car was available to take guests to Kata Beach and the hotel buggy to take guests up to and back from the main road where there are plenty of shops, eating places, massage, laundry and minimarts. We hired a driver for five hours to take us up to the Big Buddha, Chalong Temple and a couple of shopping malls. His taxi stand was to the left of the entrance going out and his negotiated charge was 1200BHT – very reasonable. His name was Sity – not sure of the spelling – but he spoke pretty good English. We also went to Patong one night – lots going on with a real buzz to the place but we were pleased we chose to stay at Kata which is a lot quieter. We stayed at Metadee for 4 nights in June/July and had a wonderful stay all around. The staff was attentive and polite, the hotel room was beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the food at the complimentary buffet was excellent. I suppose the only thing not perfect about the place was the distance from the main road. The hotel sits about 400m or so off […] the main road. They do however have a buggy shuttling people to and from the main road which makes up for the inconvenience. There's also a free shuttle to Kata beach every hour. Loved the pool access room. Would definitely insist on that. Room was great with an awesome rain shower. Breakfast was fantastic buffet. Hotel was off main drag and difficult for taxis to find. Far from Patong which we wanted but does mean a 300 to 500 baht ride.

We love the pool and the friendly service of the staff. However, during our stay, we had to catch 2 cockroaches and a centipede that were in our room.

Great place, friendly staff, comfy clean rooms, good food, shops/market/restaurants not far from resort front door, very easy to get to karon or patong for even more shopping and great food! Nice and private with lots to do!

The resort is wonderful... The resort + the room is very beautiful. The customer service & the guy who working in the metadee resort is absolut Helpful & Friendly & also Cheerful. I higher recommand this resort to everybody who going there.

Metadee är ett klassiskt 4-stjärningt hotell som vid öppnandet säkert kunde räknas som ett 5-stjärnigt hotell. Rummen är stora och fina, vi hade ett med balkong med utsikt över poolen. De är designade efter den klassiska asiatiska 'spa' stilen med stort badrum med badkar, 'regn' dusch och alla tillbehör man kan önska. Det som dock gör det till ett 4-stjärningt […] hotell istället för ett 5-stjärningt är att det är lite för slitet för att vara helt perfekt. Lite slitmärken på möbler, ngt slitna handdukar etc. Poolområdet var stort och fräscht och låg mitt i hotellkomplexet med närhet till bar- och resturang. Personalen var helt fantastiskt trevliga, hjälpsamma utan att vara påträngande och maten i resturangen var fantastiskt. Jag gillar att träna och deras lilla men välutrustade gym erbjöd mig det jag ville ha i form av konditionsträning och styrketräning. För att komma ner till huvudvägen var det ca 200-300 meter att gå längs en väldigt varm asfalterad väg men hotellet erbjöd service med golfbilar för skjuts och hämtning vid huvudvägen. Det var ytterligare en bit till stranden men hotellet erbjöd en badbil varje hel timme. Jag är personligen ingen större fantast av de vanliga turiststråken men nere vid huvudvägen låg det vanliga utbudet av resturanger, affärer, apotek och barer som var mycket trevliga. Uzziniet vairāk

Vi boede i et deluxe room med pool access, og det var super fedt at man kunne gaa i poolen direkte fra sit vaerelse. Selvom poolen er faelles med andre er altanerne private. Virkelig fantastisk pool og meget familiaert personale. Rigtig god service og rimelige priser i restauranten. Hvis der skal siges noget negativt om hotellet, er der mange myg og […] myrer. Til gengaeld bor man naermest i botanisk have. Meget smukt. Dejligt omraade i gaa-afstand fra strand (1 km) som nemt kunne gaaes med klapvogn. 泳池很大,房間也非好, 坐在露台望到山景,非常舒服!

12월초에 여행했는데, 5박은 빠통비치에서 1박은 까따비치 메타디에서 했습니다. 1박만한것이 못내 아쉬운.. 정말 너무너무 좋았어요. 풀엑세스룸이였는데, 거의 개인 풀장이용하는거나 다름없었고요, 방도 너무 예쁘고 내부시설도 좋코.. 조식도 만족 했습니다. 까따비치까지 쫌 거리가 있긴하지만 비치까지 셔틀도 다니고, 리조트 입구에서 로비까지도 거리가 쫌 있지만 부기서비스 해줍니다. 호텔주변에 음식점이나 마사지가게 아주 많구요, 대부분 외국인 관광객 위주의 음식들이 맛도 꽤 좋습니다. 단 벌레는 쫌 주의 하셔야 합니다. 귀여운 도마뱀과 쫌 징그럽게 큰 바퀴벌레 욕실에서 봤습니다. ^^;; 그치만 너무너무 좋았어요, 후회 안하 […] 실듯~! 酒店的穿梭巴士只送不接，无语了

雨季の為、手頃な値段で宿泊できました。 通りから少し入ったところにあるので、その分歩きますが、平坦な道なのでほとんど気になりません。 部屋が奥の方でしたが、バギーで送ってもらえます。 できてからまだ数年しかたっていないので、設備が新しく、庭の木々やプールの手入れも行きとどいていました。朝食のコーヒーは、セルフサービスでフレッシュコーヒーを１杯ずついれて飲むことができるので、このクラスのホテルとしては有難い。 ホテルスタッフの教育については、ローカルホテルなので今ひとつというところです。 きちんとしたサービス、ホスピタリティを求めるならばインターナショナルホテルに泊まった方がよいでしょう。

강추합니다 수영장 및 객실 깨끗 다음에도 머무를 생각입니다 풀 Access빌라가 괜찮습니다

Были в Метади Ката 6 ночей с 14 по 20 мая. Полностью бронировали поездку сами. Сначала мы определились, что хотим на Пхукете именно в Кату. Понимая что роскошь золоченой лепнины и швейцаров в ливреях мы в Кате не найдем - выбирали по отзывам на международных сайтах и с желанием найти отель с приличным бассейном. В Метади мы это и нашли. Средний по качеству, […] но очень добротный. Без понтов, "бедненько, но чистенько" и реально доброжелательно. Фишка отеля, конечно длиннющий бассейн, проходящий метров наверное на 150 между двух основных линий домиков. Есть виллы, но мы не шиковали, и взяли обычный номер с выходом в бассейн. Это означает, что прямо со своего балкончика в номере ты можешь нырять в бассейн, и пить пивко с орешками, сидя в бассейне у своего номера. Это как раз тот случай, когда первый этаж (с доступом в бассейн) значительно лучше номеров на вторых этажах. Из плюсов обязательно могу добавить завтраки - очень хороший выбор, включая даже пару "основных" блюд, которые традиционно мы на завтраки не употребляем типа лапшы со свининой. И конечно же контингент отдыхающих. Если хотите отдохнуть от соотечественников из Тагила - вам сюда. Во время нашего пребывания не было ни одного русского. 70% - японцы, 29% - англичане, 1% - я с женой. Правда, я был в низкий сезон, а зимой наших может быть много везде. Теперь о минусах. Отель находится в тупике длинного аппендикса, тянущегося от основной проезжей дороги вглубь острова. До дороги от отеля метров 400 (+метров 100 в отеле), и дальше по прямой до моря было бы рукой подать, но путь туристам преграждает крепостная стена Клаб-Меда, которую надо еще минут 10 огибать хоть влево, хоть вправо. Иначе на море не пройти. Не самое приятное развлечение в духоту и жару. У отеля есть трансфер на пляж, но поймать его не просто, а с пляжа в отель нам за 6 дней не удалось поймать наш шатл ни разу. Ну и ладно. Зато по дороге можно зайти в 7/11 за пивом по нормальным ценам или посидеть в отличных кафешках. Под отличными кафешками я точно Uzziniet vairāk

Fint hotell med flotte omgivelser og svømmebasseng. Bygningene og rommene er ikke helt nye, men OK. Veldig god frokost. Ypperlig for romantiske par eller familier med barn. Rommet vårt var litt slitt med noen feil. Internet finnes men er ikke så rask. Faktisk årsak til at vi byttet hotell etter 14 dager. Betjeningen er veldig imøtekommende og klarer […] seg i engelsken. Beliggenheten er veldig sentral i Kata, og det er kort vei til det meste. Har god service for taxi, transfer og buggy som kan bringe deg rundt på hotellet og ut til hovedveien. Every single staff has a friendly big smile on their face whenever we came by. Wifi service available everywhere in the resort and there are PC for free at the reception area and the restaurant. very nice service. quiet place yet the staff are all funny and friendly to get along with. walking distance to kata beach and nearby shops and markets. pick […] up service is also good, the driver introduced the places to us during the short journey from airport to the resort. room is unexpectedly big and comfortable. we'll definitely come back to this resort very soon. good price, good place and VERY FRIENDLY people :D Uzziniet vairāk

위치도 그렇게 뒤쪽에 있는것도 아니구요, 아담하고깨끗하고 전체적으로 다 좋습니다. 단 수영장 바로 옆이라 그런지 이불이 좀 눅눅한것외엔 ㅎㅎ 좋습니다

The Resort is nice, nice staff, nice environment and nice food. Maybe it's a bit away from the main street, but I think it's good to have higher privacy and a quite environment to enjoy a holiday.
