Excellent, Excellent location. Stayed there before a cruise. Not the Ritz but much more than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. Clean and new. Hotel located right behind La Sagrada de Familiar. About a 5 minute walk from the front door of the hotel. The room was very small but for overnight it was fine. Free wireless too.

Very comfortable room. Problems with wifi, had to put in new codes many times, although the front desk said it should continue to work. Very close to Sagrada Familia and where our daughter is living. Metro was very close which we used daily. Location was great for us, but needed to use metro to see the rest of the sites in Barcelona.

Stayed in 3/2013 for 3 days and had a beautiful view of the Sagrada Familia right out of our window, made being there early to view very easy. Wifi worked well, we brought our ipad and connector for HDMI, so tv didn't matter, we watched movies (downloaded before we left USA) on an early night in. This hotel is excellent, very clean and modern looking. Every member of staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located very close to a metro which you can jump on to go anywhere in Barcelona. It is also very close to Sagrada Família which is a very good experience, you should make sure you visit. The only negative thing I can say about the hotel […] is the air con was on a heating mode because it was winter (stayed in February). However, the room was too hot and was still too hot even turning the heating off. I told the staff but they couldn't do anything about it because it was the same for all the whole hotel. There is not much to do around the immediate area but with the convenience of the metro this is not a problem. Only down side is the metro stops running at midnight on a sunday and weekdays so unless you get a cab back to the hotel you are limited on the time you have in the evenings. On a saturday the metro runs all through the night. Although this is not about the hotel, do not use the company 'Aerocity' for transfers, they was late for both pickups and the drivers were reckless when driving because they was always in a rush. I will never be using them again. Be careful if booking the transfers through Expedia because thats what I did and I didnt know who the company was until after I paid. The location was awesome! We decided to have the breakfast buffet every morning, it was worth the price and so convenient. The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were very clean.

The staff in the hotel from housekeeping to the manager are really wonderfull. Very friendly and pleasant and I can't praise them enough! The hotel is clean but I wouldn't give it four star if I am honest. The mattress is very uncomfortable and the pillows are horrible. I had body ache and neck pain the whole of my stay and was very dissapointed as […] I atleast expected to sleep comfortably in a four star hotel. Oh the food at the bar?? My God I wouldn't expect a burger of that quality in a kiosk let alone a four star hotel! Pizza?? my sister was laughing as it sure is a cheese on a cracker! The difference is they call it Pizza! I strongly advise anyone against eating in the hotel. Breakfast was lovely though as they give you a choice omlette to your liking, fried eggs. Barcelona is a great city and the tour more than compensated for the horrible accomodation but if you have a choice try other four star hotels as this surely doesn't deserve four stars. The staff is great, very helpful, very proud of the city and love it as well... which means they will give you the inside scope of where to go and how to deal with Taxis and get around. Location maybe a bit far from the la rambla and gothic quarter for some travelers, but I dont think you can be closer to Le Segrada Familia than this hotel.

This hotel is modern and very clean. Great staff and very friendly. It is located in the middle of everything!! There are restaurants on every block, a couple grocery stores, one right next to the hotel and the other on the same block. There is a metro station just around the corner which makes it super convenient to visit other parts of the city. Free […] WiFi, a great lounging area if you want to surf the internet downstairs. Best way to get to this hotel from the airport (BCN) is to take the Areobus to the Universitat (think i spelled that right) stop, and take the metro (L2 purple line - subway) to Sagrada Familia, and the hotel is on the same block. When you get off the Aerobus at Universitat stop, look directly in front of you and you will see the stairs going down to the subway. Aerobus costs around 5 euros per person. You can buy a T10 card at the subway station and that will give you 10 trips to go where ever you want and that is about 10€. There are many ways of getting to the hotel, but this one was very easy. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the train station and airport. This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the last stop on one of Barcelona's metro lines so it's easy to get into town. Other than the floor being softer than the bed, the wifi slow as molasses, not having washcloths, and the soap not being replaced daily, i really had a great experience. Overall, pretty stoked about our stay, but not passionate....i prefer a comfy bed over the expensive-looking drapes!! p.s...you have to reset the AC every time you come in the room bc taking your keycard out of the master-holder deactivates it as well as the electricity! The Ayre Hotel Rosellon is a very nice hotel and the staff are extremely helpful. It is situated in an area close to the Sagrada Familia and close to the metro station, so getting around Barcelona is really cheap and easy. We were attending an FC Barcelona game and had trouble retrieving our tickets from an automated kiosk several blocks from the hotel; when he learned we had trouble, the man at the front desk accompanied us there and helped us, step by step. Good location next to and having a great view of Sagrada Familia. Hotel facility and rooms are modern and clean. We didn't have hot water our first morning! Hotel staff weren't particularly attentive to the situation. They told us to wait a few hours until the "engineering situation" is resolved. It did get resolved.

Great hotel, friendly helpful staff - but not the best of locations. Fortunately, only 100 yards from Sagrada Familia metro station and therfore just a short journey to any of the attractions. Would certainly use this hotel again though.

The hotel has a great location and close to metro, little shops for groceries, famous Sagrada Familia, and other transport means. The room is kept clean, but you can hear people getting into their rooms late at night. However, the view from the terrace is beautiful at night. Not sure about the Sagrada view upgrade, since you can get such a spectacular view of the basilica from the fantastic rooftop patio (which also Offers great food by the way). A very nice and modern hotel, looks like its about a couple of years old, and is away from the main hub, which is what i wanted, las ramblas is only about 5 min away by cab, near by are some very nice restaurants and you dont pay tourist prices and yopu get to see local people, the staff are really friendly and very helpful.
