I wanted a room for just one night as close as possible to the Central Station (Stasen Sentral) in Kuala Lumpur, because I was arriving with a late flight from Singapore and would fly far away early next morning. With such a schedule my previous hotel and the other hotels in the city center were not an option (the KL subway service runs from 6 am to […] 23 pm only, and the airport express from KLIA to Sentral runs from 4:30 am to 1:30 am), so I chose Hotel Sentral. It promised me proximity to the Central Station and free wireless internet in the room. Actually it lacked both. You walk about 10 minutes from the railway station to the hotel, and the surroundings are probably the most dirty and unpleasant you can find in KL, and the wifi internet is just not available. No information when it will be again. What's worse, there doesn't seem to be any reason for this - the routers are there, the signal is strong and the network names are visible, but the system just doesn't accept connections. Rooms are basic, equipment is quite worn out, this place hardly deserves 2 stars. My advice? Choose a hotel somewhere else - taxis in KL are cheap, so you can use them between Central Station and the city center - and you can actually find better hotels for less money there. Uzziniet vairāk

The hotel was well located, next to KL Sentral. The major hub in Kuala Lumpur. However, the service is lacking speed, readiness and happiness. No hair dryer, bath room is very small. Stayed at the deluxe room, size is around 22m2. Air con no remote control, takes very long to become cold, aorund 30 min . Satisfied with Hotel / Location / near indian vegetarian restaurants. We suggest that the Hotels have 24 hour check-in facilities instead of 3 pm. Otherwise we had a comforatable stay. Oh yes- the locker in the room wasnt working- thats about it.

Good hotel to stay. We want to to upgrade the room. We were able to do to it with a balance payment without any delays. We stayed in two hotels booked through expedia, which were hotel sentral and de baron resort in langkawi. In debaron they asked for various things while check in which took more than 1 hour. But in hotel sentral it was less than 15 […] mins (ie. we checked in at about 1 AM). Hotel sentral provides good service. Cleaned rooms. complementary wifi and drink water are appreciated. Extremely close to kl sentral. Very good hotel for overnight transport, for the price you pay. Room are extremely small, you can barely walk around with your luggage.

We stayed in room 804. The wifi barely worked in the room for both the days. There was alot of noise from the streets into our room so could barely sleep. The food however from the Bistro at ground floor and also the breakfast was good. I requested to have my room changed but was informed that hotel was booked out.

Although providing service is their business it is my experience that one has to be clear of ones desires upfront in order to have a pleasant stay. We got a room with two single beds so we went back straight away to ask for a double. When we entered the requested double, which they gave without any hassle, it appeared to be a room where smoking is allowed, […] which we didn't ask for. Room 607 has a nice view on the KL tower and is close to the monorail which did not give any noise. However there was a high monotone beebing sound it seemed from somewhere inside the hotel that was unpleasant. Since we already 'bothered' them enough we decided to accept this for three nights. Nevertheless we had a pleasant stay in a spacious room with a great (walk-in, instead of standing in a bathtub) shower and a comfortable bed. Reasonably good place to stay in KL. 10 mins to KL Sentral Station where one can get around easily. A little hard to get to and fro from hotel due to construction along the way. Helpful and friendly staffs. Nets within an Indian community, good for Indian Nationals. Would consider staying again.

There is suppose to be wifi but cannot connect at all. The safe is not working as it was already pre-lock by previous customer. No maintenance crew came to clean the place. Fortunate, we stay only 2 nights. Only good thing is location as it is very near the Sentral LRT. But I guess pricing is ok for a budget stay and cannot expect more services.

My friend and I travelled up to Kuala Lumpur from Australia for the Malaysian Grand Prix, and after originally booking into a hotel in Seremben, we decided to stay in KL instead thanks to the advice of several people. We found the Hotel Sentral on Hotels.com and it looked like the best value for money and great location. Finding it the first time was […] a bit of a hassle, as some of the staff at the Sentral station gave us some weird directions, so maybe do what we did and take a taxi there the first time if you get lost. After that though it is a breeze to find your way from the hotel to the KL Sentral station, it's about a 5 minute walk around the corner and through a tunnel which is safe due to the amount of people. The monorail station is directly over the road from the hotel as well. The hotel is a lot more modern than we were expecting, although as we went for the 'budget' alternative we were slightly seperated from the 'modern' looking lobby. The room was small and very basic, but given we paid less for 6 nights in KL than we did for 4 nights in Melbourne and got more, it has to be said it was good. The bathroom was seperate from the main room and a large size, and the shower was massive. The beds were fairly comfortable and the TV was great to watch some Malaysian TV. The two best things about the room were the internet and the breakfast. Get breakfast included in your room because you go upstairs to a room and basically can eat all you can, and there are so many option each day you won't want to leave! Despite the fact food is so cheap in Malaysia, it's all well cooked and everything from western to eastern options! The internet too was absolutely amazing! So fast and never dropped out, it was a breeze to Skype and stay in touch with friends and family back home. Also, the restaurant in the hotel downstairs was extremely cheap, and delicious! Nice clean modern hotel nicely located at KL Sentral (although the building works by the station made the walk via the underground road with its traffic fumes very unpleasant) so very handy for the journey from and to the airport and Sepang F1 circuit (the reason for my stay). I had no hot shower for 3 nights, elevators are also used by staff reducing capacity at rush hours significantly - and the elevators are already the slowest I have seen in twenty years of traveling on all continents. They seem to have two kinds of breakfast - I was not offered an upgrade ---- they missed the opportunity for an up sell.... Breakfast […] was OK, good Varity of Chinese, Indian and western items - whereas the western items where typical British white bread and jam :( make-to-order omelets was good. Coffee undrinkable - whoever made that does not know of the art of making coffee. Housekeeping is ignoring the "do not disturb sign" --- This is unacceptable ! Good location very close the Kuala lumpur sentral train station – would it not have been for the big construction project it would have been less than 5 minutes walk, currently (March 2012) it may take about 15 minutes ---- if you know how to find the hotel….. This hotel is purely run on the basis of advertisements by various hotel booking sites...There is no reason other than location (in front of monorail) anybody should visit this hotel... Very friendly reception staff and security. Particular likes were the safe in the room. House keeping was slow when rang for, but when cleaned was very good. Would stay there again. Close to the monorail which is good for transport to main stations

Its close to KL Central which is perfect for monorail. trains and the KL commuter but its not in the tourist centre. To visit the sites one will have to use one of the above modes of transport. The restaurants are […] street cafes, there's no malls or clothes shops. The food in the cafes are well worth trying, don't be put off by the look. As for the hotel - staff are nice, the rooms were cleaned each day (empty fridge in room) and are basic. Perfect for what a room is for, sleeping, showing, spending sometime in etc. TV channels worked. My one complaint - I asked for a non smoking room but was given a smoking room on a smoking floor.
