Hotel Canal Grande — Venice

I came to this hotel specifically after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed at all! The hotel is easily within walking distance from the parking garage, or the train station. There is even a water taxi stop literally at its front door. Because it is close to all the transportation possibilities, it is a bit of a walk to the Ponte and Saint Mark's […] square. But it is an easy walk or you can always take the water taxi. The hotel staff were more than willing to help with anything you could think that you wanted, even provided an umbrella. The room was wonderfully quaint and the bathroom was spectacular. Especially for a European Hotel. The room was small but more than enough for one or two people! If you are heading to Venice and need a place to stay, I highly recommend this hotel. Its a quick walk from the train station right on the Grand Canal. The staff are extremely helpful & the hotel is beautiful. When booking, be sure to get a room with a view of the canal.

The hotel was ideally located to view all the sights and sounds of the Grand Canal. Although the hotel was located just a short distance from the train station, the Scalzi foot bridge will be a bit of a challenge to travelers lugging large suitcases up and down the stairs. Rooms in the hotel were nicely decorated, though travelers should be aware the rooms are somewhat smaller than American versions. My husband and I had a beautiful weekend in Venice and this was enhanced by our stay at the Hotel Grand Canal. The staff were very helpful on arrival and during our stay. We just recently stayed in Venice and were extremely impressed with this hotel. Very clean and comfortable room (we had a 2 floor room because we have 2 boys). the service was amazing and the breakfast out on the terrace was great. highly recommended.

The hotel was excellent, everyone there from the front desk individuals to the breakfast manager were all very helpful and very friendly. If you are headed to Venice ... there is not another hotel you should stay in. The Hotel Canal Grande is without a doubt the most perfect hotel in Venice. We loved this hotel! It was an easy 10 minute walk to the hotel from the train station and we were so pleased that the hotel was on a small square giving it a very confortable atmoshere. The staff was the best we have ever experienced - we were offered cold water upon our arrival (it was very hot and humid) and were escorted to our rooms. The rooms […] were immpecible - beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. We were amazed and so pleased that our room rate included the breakfast buffet and free wifi. The continental breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. There was a small dock off the hotel lobby (on the Grand Canal) with a few small tables where you could enjoy drinks and appetizers. The staff gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and took the time to give us detailed directions. The hotel is in the Santa Croce area - much quieter and far less crowded than the San Marco area - also restaurant prices were quite a bit lower. Great location and recently remodeled, small but adequate room with larger bath/shower. Front desk help was great and hotel easy to find just across the Grand Canal from the train station. Convient to the vaporetto.

The staff of this fine hotel make it such a peasure. We had a wonderful stay here. From the moment we arrived we had excellent service, lovelly accomodation and really friendly and helpful staff. Well done Italy, I wish France would learn something form you. I highly recommend this Hotel

We stayed one night at the hotel. Giovanna at the front desk was very helpful. She gave us very good directions, stored luggage for us on the day of check-out, and offered us coffee and tea on a cold rainy day while waiting for our train. Quanto a localização, fica pertinho da estação de trem (sem malas pra carregar é papo de 5 minutos), o que facilita muito a chegada ou saída da cidade, e ao mesmo mais afastado da muvuca de San Marco, te permitindo conhecer e se perder por cantinhos bem charmosos da cidade. O hotel está novo e muito bem conservado. […] O qualidade do serviço durante minha estadia foi excelente. Voltaria com certeza ao local. O café da manhã é muito bom também. Peçam o capuccino! É delicioso! E ainda tem um deck privativo na frente do hotel onde se pode degustar um sptriz a tarde. Os quartos tem uma decoração classuda, mas de bom tom e agradável de ficar. A roupa de cama é de boa qualidade, o colchão é bom e o travesseiro idem. O banheiro poderia ter um pouquinho mais de espaço, mas isso não atrapalha nem um pouco a experiência do hotel. Hôtel très propre et bien situé pour visiter venise. personnel très aimable,serviable et très poli. parfait quoi.... j'y retournerai sans hésiter.

Accueil très chaleureux, l'ensemble du personnel est attentionné. La réceptionniste parle très bien français et nous a donné de nombreuses informations très utiles (musées etc..) Proximité gare routière et ferroviaire très pratique, accès Vaporetto à quelques minutes. L hôtel est un peu éloigné des sites touristiques mais très proche de la gare et des vaporetti. nous avons un peu été déçus par la taille de la chambre, vraiment minuscule. le petit déjeuner est correct. mais simple le personnel de l'hôtel est accueillant et très aimable.

Gemütliches Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Zimmer sind renoviert und schön, Betten sind sehr bequem und erlauben einen guten Schlaf. Nachts ist es sehr ruhig. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, 7min zu Fuss vom Busbahnhof und 5min vom Bahnhof. Ganz Venedig ist zu Fuss innerhalb von 30min erreichbar. Frühstückbuffet ist reichhaltig.

実は宿泊当日に１つ荷物が空港で出て来ず、チェックインの時にそのエピソードをフロントの方に話したら、控えは持ってますか？と聞かれ、コピーを取ってから返してくれ、何も言わないのに、わざわざ電話してくれて、いつ頃荷物が届くのか聞いてくれて、部屋にメッセージを残してくれたのです。その女性にお礼を直接言いたかったのですが、チェックアウトの当日は違う方で残念でしたが、本当に優しいスタッフがいるホテルです。

El hotel colmo nuestras expectativas. La habitación un amor, muy fácil de llegar luego que dejas el auto. Ideal para enamorados..

Un hotel excelente, muy bien ubicado y una atención del personal digna de destacar, siempre predispuestos a aconsejarnos e intentar solucionar cualquier inconveniente que se sucite. El desayuno impecable y muy surtido. Realmente fue un placer haberlo elegido, lo recomendamos y lo volveríamos a elegir.

Sehr schönes Hotel, super Lage und 1aService. Einziger Wermutstropfen (deswegen ein Punkt weniger bei Zimmerkomfort): wir waren im November da, da wurde es auf dem Zimmer langsam kalt und die Bettdecken sind einfach sehr dünn. Aber das dürfte auf viele andere Hotels in Venedig bzw. Italien zustoßen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall sofort wieder dort buchen. Dette er et hotell vi veldig gjerne anbefaler til andre. Vi har bodd på mange hoteller i Italia, og dette hører til topp 3. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening, kjempegod service og pene rom med høy standard.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Liegt direkt am Kanal Grande in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Die nächste Vaporettohaltestelle liegt 3 Minuten entfernt.

Vi hadde veldig god opplevelse av dette hotellet. Vi ankom veldig tidlig, og da vi velge 3 forskjellige rom som vi kunne se på før vi bestemte oss. God beliggenhet i forhold i "buss" på Grand Canale. Mulig noe langt fra Markusplassen, men det betydde ikke så mye for oss. Gode senger, behangelig air-condition på rommet om natten. Har ikke følt meg […] så uthvilt på lenge! Nydelig frokost med mulighet for grove rundstykker, hvis du setter pris på det. Vi fikk perfekt nydelig Cappuccino til frokost hver dag, og gjerne flere kopper også! Vi kommer gjerne tilbake. We were very pleased with our 3 night stay at the Canal Grande in Venezia. We wanted a place with a bathtub (not just a shower), free wifi, good breakfast, and a good location. This hotel had all that and more. The rooms are very beautifully decorated, very clean, and provided a safe and mini-frig. The breakfast was excellent, the bar was available for late night snacks, and there were guidebooks available in the lounge. The superb personnel made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Ett mkt prisvärt 4 stjärningt hotell.Svarade väl upp till sin rating. Ovanligt trevlig personal för att vara i Italien och ffa i Venedig.Läget mkt lätt åtkomligt från både land och sjösidan. Lungt och tyst och sannolikt rel nyrenoverat.
