Western Skies Motel — Seagoville

Staff was polite and prompt. Other than that, this motel was the most miserable place at which I have ever stayed in my life. The rooms were absolutely awful. Horrible, overpowering smell of air freshener in the registration office and the rooms, even in the non-smoking room. Almost unbearable. I stayed in a smoking room and woke up feeling like I was […] choking in the middle of the night. Doors and walls covered in dirt and grime. No free wireless access, contrary to hotels.com description. couldn't sleep due to overpowering smells, noise from highway, noise from refrigerator (I unplugged it), and toilet started running, which I managed to fix myself. Bathtub had hairs and dirt in it, fixtures were rusty. Toilet lid had chemical film of some sort of it. Shower was OK, although I had to build up courage to get into it. Sheets on bed looked clean, but I was suspect. Comforter was very thin. Could not wait to leave that place, spent as little time in the room as possible. I stayed there because it was close to Cousin's paintball field, where a tournament was being held. Should have paid a little more and stayed in a trustworthy hotel chain 20-30 minutes away. On arrival my room was stocked with a bar of soap, an ice bucket and two plastic cups. These items had been arranged on a tray which was covered in dead mosquito hawks. The bathroom was filthy from the crud on the floor, to the urine remaining in the unflushed toilet. There was a towel in the bathroom, but less than a quarter of a roll of toilet paper […] left on the dispenser was all there was to be had. Shampoo and conditioner was also not provided. The bed was a nightmare. When I first pulled down the sheets, I found human hairs, but beyond that, The mattress, the comforter and even the sheets were covered in countless cigarette burns. The headboard was unburned, but covered in old chewing gum. During the 4 days I stayed here, my room was not serviced even once. I had to retrieve towels and toilet paper for myself. And finally, none of the many room keys I was given would unlock my door, so that any time I had to leave my room AND wanted to get back in to it, I had to wait for someone to come dismantle the lock and let me in. outstanding hotel to stay in. you cant beat the price, location, cleanliness, and just overall everything. The hotel is family owned and operated. Very nice service and great rooms

Well; besides the fact that we had to wait for few minutes before someone came to the front desk to help us, everything was fine. The beds are very comfortable, room didn't smell like cheap motel, plenty towels, SATISFIED with the PRICE WE PAID...just one more thing, if have kids with you, watch out for the TV channels, it has a channel not suitable […] for kids.. luckly my dauther was in the restroom when my husband came across that channel.
