SpringHill Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh Southside Works — Pittsburgh

Overall a nice clean hotel, and staff is nice and helpful, but, and this is a BIG but. They advertise free WiFi in all the rooms. We stayed for 4 days. the first night I called the desk, and told them there was no WiFi signal in the room (neither my wife's or my brand spanking new iPhones got a signal). They connected me to their technical service dept, […] and I spoke to a man who told me he would initiate a "level II" and check out the problem. The next night there was still no signal. I called and spoke to the desk again. This time they forwarded me to the general manager's voicemail (Matt something or other). I left a message, and by the time we left 3 days after that, he had never even left me a message, and the problem was never fixed. I incurred a $30 charge from my cell carrier because of this. One would expect more for a very expensive room. There were 2 other things. 1) The sink had a distinct odor of raw sewage, and we were on the 6th floor. 2) The shower just shut off for about 30 seconds while I was taking a shower once, it didn't just run out of hot water, the water just slowed and then came to a complete stop. Again, one would expect more from a BRAND NEW BUILDING, and a very expensive room! I would only recommend this hotel if WiFi in the room is not important to you, there was also no WiFi signal in the lobby. Uzziniet vairāk

When I checked in many rooms were available. Unfortunately the staff put me in a room next to the elevator and on the second floor near the train. The elevators ran all night and the trains were long and often. The staff should have known not to fill that room till all others were occupied. A group of friends and myself got together for my brothers bachelor party. The hotel was in a great location with a lot to do within walking distance. The rooms were very clean and spacious. They also provided a shuttle that was very accommodating at most hours of the day and night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pittsburgh.

Our room upon entering had a few moderately sized red stains on the floor of what looked like globs. When we checked out we informed the front desk of the issue, and she non chalantly presumes to tell me that the stain is blood, and that the morning of the day we checked in, a guest had a nosebleed in that room. That is not only extremely discomforting, […] but a biohazard over anything else because of blood born pathogens, some having the ability to live in stained blood for up to 10 days if not cleaned properly with bleach. My husband and I were completely disgusted by this. Also, room service was asked to bring us towels, and the woman was extremely rude when we opened our door. Overall, the only positive to this hotel was its location, and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Uzziniet vairāk

Clean. Comfortable. Free breakfast. Good price. Great service. Would definitely stay there again. Close to UPMC where I had an appointment.

Very pleasantly surprised with the quality and ammenities of this hotel. Very convenient to Carson St and the Hot Metal district. This trip we did not get a chance to fully utilize the pool and exercise areas but we have booked again in May and will review again. Morning breakfast buffet was excellent. Found no downside to staying there.

First time staying at this property. Wanted a hotel as close to the Hofbrauhaus as possible. Very nice hotel, clean and contemporary. Will stay there again.

new hotel. very clean and comfortable. walking distance to shopping and restraunts and bars. free shuttle van within five miles! large variety of breakfast items. One downfall, train tracks run behind the hotel so ask to stay on the river side of the hotel.

The hotel was great, within walking distance to great restaurants, shops and even a movie theatre. The South Side of Pittsburgh is a great eclectic neighborhood with high end shops and restaurants, right next to tattoo parlors and intersting other venues. The hotel was great, the staff very friendly and helpful and although the indoor pool is very […] small, it was pleasant enough on a very hot afternoon. This was a new, beautiful, clean, comfortable hotel. Nice room decor. Staff is friendly. Our room overlooked a river. mini kitchen with microwave, sink, fridge. 2 q beds w/ sofa bed (we had family of 5). Mini living room area w/ desk. Closet w/ iron board. Our room overlooked river. Daily complimentary breakfast, make your own waffles. I'd definitely […] recommend. Cons: freight train nearby (didn't bother us, my children loved it), not close to convenience stores.
