Convenient transport links and peaceful lakes and parks attract international company executives to this trendy and varied suburb, south-east of the city centre. Ixelles also has an arty café scene and a vibrant Congolese quarter. The gothic Abbaye de la Cambre and its wooded surroundings make a popular picnic destination. There are also a couple of interesting art museums, one dedicated to local sculptor Constantin Meunier.

"excellent location, oasis of calm, very green"
a few steps from the metro and main shopping streets with plenty of dining options, grocery store, movie theater, the works. Aqua is located on a very quiet street, itself, straddling a 'little Africa' street of restaurants and shops, and the 'Louise'/ art neauvou neighborhood. About a 10-15 minute walk to Grand Platz or the art museum with all the […] Breughels. Breakfast is nice -- fresh fruit and veggies, as well as cereals and the usual pastries, meat, cheeses. (Go to starbucks or lilly for a decent cup of coffee, though.) Gym is adequate:- treadmill, elyptical, bike. No wireless in the rooms, but they provided a cord for free internet access. Main attraction was the uber-modern, minimalist room -- excellent LED lighting and comfy mattresses with eiderdown comforters. hot water kettle, empty fridge for actual storage, and good tv channels (BBC, not just CNN as is the norm in Paris.) "Hotel itself is nice but location is so-so"
Pro: Hotel furnishings is modern yet simple. Nice there is a button to signal your room is ready for make-up or do not disturb. Buffet breakfast includes freshly brewed coffee, boil your own eggs, wide assortment of fresh fruit and yogourts, as well as your usual ham / cheese / bread / cereal etc. Con: Our room didn't have towel rack so was not able […] to dry and reuse our towels. There was only 2 hooks in the bathroom, so difficult to hang clothes or towels while taking a shower etc. I understand the blue lighting at night makes the hotel like modern, but the shades in the rooms weren't thick enough to block out the blue/purple lights at night. Location: We had asked reception for travel directions and thankful that reception team responded promptly. But when we arrived at the intersection, the hotel entrance is located in a back alley with construction, graffiti and unoccupied spaces. It felt unsafe to enter the alley so best to arrive early afternoon - but fortunately nothing happened to us and you do see people walking along the street. The hotel surrounding neighbourhood is poor. There is a walking distance do the METRO and The EU Parliament but... no "aqua". Corridor on the first floor wasn't seen by vacum cleamer.

"Aqua Hotel Brussels - elegant and convenient"
Aqua is a lovely hotel, convenient to a metro station and reasonably near the EU zone. Typically for European hotels, the rooms are tiny, but well furnished. The approach is perhaps a bit too minimal - some instructions for using the key card (which, I eventually worked out, you have to stick in the slot inside the room in order for the lights to stay […] on more than five minutes), telephone, etc. would have been welcome. When I arrived, the shower drain was plugged, causing a flood in my bathroom and a leak into the room below. This was promptly rectified, but housekeeping was a bit spotty, with toiletry items not replaced and the cleaner showing up one day at 6 pm, when I was already back in the room. It was very clean and comfortable, however. Breakfast was nice, if not very exciting, with a good assortment and good coffee. The dining room, in a sunken atrium, is lovely. The neighborhood is a bit mixed. There is a lot of trash on the streets and so on, but I felt safe and had no problems. Internet is free and fairly fast if you ask for a cable (they were out my first night, but I was able to access the wireless from the public areas intermittently). Vi är sammantaget mycket nöjda. Rent och fräscht. Bra frukost, sköna sängar! Hade dock varit ett stort plus om hotellet hade haft mer utbud av café/bar än enbart frukostservering.

"Meget dårlig beliggenhed"
Hotellet ligger i en meget skummel gade, hvor der er dårlig belysning, byggerod, containere og affald. Jeg følte mig ikke helt tryg, når jeg om aftenen skulle gå de sidste 500 meter fra "almindelig" vej til hotellets indgang. Hotellets personale var forvirrede over bestilling af taxa på hjemrejse dagen. Denne blev bestilt til dagen før egentlig afrejse […] dag, og på selve dagen havde de ikke styr på bookingen til trods for at jeg havde dobbelttjekket med receptionen aftenen før. Se trata de un hotel de nueva construcción. Está a 25 minutos andando de la estación de trenes MIDI y a 15 minutos andando de la Grand Place. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, pero suficiente. Prima modern en verrassend hotel. Het heeft alle voorzieningen, aardige medewerkers, leuke details en een prima ligging. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

De straat is een gribus, maar het hotel zelf is uitstekend. Alleen lijkt de staf ook te snappen dat ze niet in een top-hotel werken. Dat zou beter kunnen.

Hotel Aqua er bare to år gammelt og ligger i en bakgate rett bak hovedgaten Blvd de Waterloo og Toison d'Or. Hotellet er ikke stort, men både resepsjon og rom er preget av frisk moderne design. Frokosten (inkludert!) er nøktern men grei, servicen hyggelig. TV og kablet internett på rommet, trådløst bare i resepsjonen. Gode senger! Kort vei til metro […] (linje 2 og 6, Porte de Namur) og til shoppingområde. Anbefales hvis du ikke synes det gjør noe å gå i en stille bakgate et par hundre meter for å komme til hotellet. Wij vonden dit een verrassend mooi hotel. Het is een hotel voor deze tijd. Het ligt in de betere buurt in Brussel. Het straatje waar het in ligt is minder, maar een paar passen lopen en het is goed. Er naast is een parkeergarage waar de auto voor €15 per dag kan staan. Wij gingen naar de opera in een buitenwijk van Brussel. "Verblijf van 29/12 tot 30/12 in hotel aqua"
Het hotel oogt zeer mooi. De kamer was aan de kleine kant maar dat is niet heel erg.De douche is oogt heel modern (regendouche) maar spoot echt naar alle kanten zodat heel de kamer wel een regendouche leek. De kamer was ook niet zeer netjes want er lagen nog haren in de badkamer. Ontbijt was goed.personeel was vriendelijk;

D'abord étonnés par le decor très moderne puis reçus avec beaucoup de gentillesse par la reception a l'écoute. Chambres excellentes et au calme, petit dejeuner très varié... au coeur de la ville ce qui ne gache rien. Dommage qu'il n'y avait pas le plan détaillé de Bruxelles à nous remettre... mais on reviendra... !

Mooi en net hotel. We hadden een driepersoonskamer en die was erg ruim en netjes. Het derde bed sliep ook erg goed, alleen lagen we tegenover de ontbijtzaal en werden vroeg wakker van de mensen die gingen ontbijten. Goede beveiliging ook 's avonds. Je moest eerst aanbellen voordat je naar binnen kon.

Cet hôtel est très bien situé à proximité de l'avenue louise... seul problème, pas de parking pour l'hotel... Je me suis fait fracturé ma voiture lors de la nuit... Sinon petit dej très correct, hall très design, mais les mûrs de la chambre et la couverture de lit aurait pu être plus nettes...

Habitación comoda aunque algo justa de espacio al poner cama supletoria para 3a persona. El lavabo incomodo pero la ducha bastante bien. El hotel tiene un aire minimalista agradable pero solo hay internet en recepción. El desayuno correcto.

Das Hotel ist super schoen neu, liegt in unmittelbarer Naehe von den Haupteinkaufsstraszen Bruessels und zum Hauptmarkt sind es nur zehn Minuten Fuszweg. Besonders toll an derm Hotel fanden wir, dass es generell sehr zentral liegt, aber in einer kleinen Nebenstrasze, dadurch ist das Hotel sehr ruhig. Das Hotel wurde es vor kurzem gebaut, die Inneneinrichtung […] ist sehr modern und sauber gehalten. Die Rezeption ist durchgaengig besetzt und spricht auch englisch. Het hotel ligt net buiten de centrum-ring van Brussel, bij de Namense poort. Voordeel: prima bereikbaar per auto. Parkeergarage onder het hotel bereikbaar vanaf de ring! En de voetgangersuitgang vlak naast de ingang van het hotel. We hebben alles te voet gedaan. Via het Koningsplein/museumberg naar de grote Markt gelopen in een klein kwartier. En via […] het Justitiepaleis naar het Vossenplein (de Marollen) was vanaf het hotel ook ongeveer een kwartier lopen. Dus prima te doen! Het hotel is pas gerenoveerd. Hotellet er nyt og i fin stand. Personalet i receptionen er med blandet service, lige fra den meget venlige til den helt sure medarbejder. Hotellet ligger midt imellem centrum og EU-området og i gåafstand til begge dele. Meget lækker og varieret morgenmad. Fin parkeringsmulighed i P-kælder ved siden af hotellet.

hotel design, la chambre est pratique pas de chichi. Mais elles sont pas très bien insonorisées (j'entendais la douche du voisin le matin). De plus pas de volet, donc si vous aimez dromir dans le noir complet il est à déconseiller. Mais le prix pour la prestation est très raisonnable pour bruxelles.

Nice modern hotel with comfortable rooms. Placed not far from Avenue Louise and the city centre, though it is hidden in a back street where a single woman might not like to walk down late night.
