Overall, a good stay. Nice and clean rooms, nice big TV, free internet in your room (and not just in the lobby - which gives it a plus one against other hotels). My only concern was its location - no nearby food place or anything. The area looked deserted and creepy...... but really it is not how it looked like. It is like 10 minutes by bus from downtown […] area. I stayed there for 2 days, took the bus to and fro from downtown and had no troubles at all. The bus stop (between Olive and Commerce) is right in front of the hotel - which made my trip a super success. The hotel staff was polite and courteous and made sure we had all that was needed. We rented 4 rooms, same complaints all rooms. Not enough parking for the hotel guests. You'll have to park on the street. The # of rooms exceeds the number of parking spots. The room air conditioner had to run all night and was very noisey. The AC woke us up all night. Not enough hot water and no water pressure. When checking out, no one there until […] about 9am. No sign or instructions for early check out, ie what to do with cards, final bill etc. We left anyway but I had to keep calling the hotel until finally someone answered and said they found the 4 room cards I had left on the desk under the mouse pad. This is a great hidden gem. The hotel is very small and in an industrial area, however this is a very affordable and clean room! I would definitely stay here again!

Was a nice place close to the attractions but the neighbors were a little loud. If looking for a reasonable rate within a few minutes drive to the river walk this is great.

I called the Hotel before booking. They said they were a few blocks from Convention Center on very close to the Riverwalk. I found out that this was not true.

This little hotel had rooms that were nice, comfortable beds, efficient maid service, a good shower, and everything worked. The only negative was the limited parking. I will stay here again!

Hotel was great! We were a little worried when we saw the neighborhood we were in that the hotel would not be very good but did not have any problems at all during the weekend. Hotel is VERY nice for the money and was super close to all the events we needed to go to for the weekend. So all considered it was GREAT! Would definitely stay there again!

Noisy environment. Lots of arguing inside and outside of hotel at night. Train whistles during late night early morning hours. Front Desk personnel not available. I had to leave a messasge for the front desk. Not the best neighborhood.

The hotel is new and the rooms are spacious with great rustic furniture and nice decor. Room service was great and friendly staff. The hotel is located in a sketchy area but it didn't interfere with our stay; quiet n calm area. It's close too all the attractions, river walk, Alamo, and market square. This hotel is horrible. It is not close to riverwalk or dome or any other attraction. The staff did not have a clue of what customer service is. The area is ugly and at night you fell very unsafe. I would not recommend to take your family to this place!!!

At check in, was overcome with the smell of ethnic dinner someone was having. Check in was efficient. Had called ahead to request a room on the first floor - no elevators. Hotel backs up to a poor residential neighborhood. Once I heard drunk neighbors arguing for about 30 minutes. However, it’s just a 25 minute walk to downtown and just a 10 minute walk to the Alamodome. Most hotels in this price range are worn-out. Not this hotel; it is new. Everything works and is clean. Big rooms with walk-in closets and ceiling fans. […] Real solid wood furniture. Comfortable mattress, but the pillows were lumpy . The A/C worked great and is controlled by an easy to use digital wall control, but was noisy. Free Wi-Fi but it is slow. Free continental breakfast, but don’t plan on it for your breakfast. It was only coffee and miniature poppy seed muffins. Family owned and run. Owners work the front desk instead of hiring a full-time clerk. When checking in and checking out I had to ring a bell then wait several minutes for someone to show up. However, they are proud of the hotel and take good care of it. I didn’t see anything that was broken or needed repair. The pictures on the Hotels.com website are an accurate representation. BOTTOM LINE: If you are looking for an affordable place to stay within walking distance of downtown San Antonio this place is hard to beat. This hotel in located near the Alamodome in a so-so neighborhood, but on a major street and within a 20 minute walk of the historic downtown/Riverwalk area and within a 10 minute walk of the Alamodome. Too far to walk to the Riverwalk in the Texas summer heat, but fine for the Fall, Winter or Spring. The hotel was recently constructed (which is nice) […] and the rooms are large and comfortable, although the pillows left something to be desired. The rates are very reasonable. It is family owned and operated. I think the owners take pride in thier hotel, but they operate the front desk themselves instead of hiring workers, so there is often no one at the desk. You ring a bell and a few minutes later one of the family members appears from thier living area to hlep you. If you are in a hurry you will find this irritating, so give yourself extra time if you need to go to the front desk. All-in-all I was pleased and will definately consider staying here again. Good value for access to downtown San Antonio. Bus stop right next to the hotel goes straight to downtown, and you can text message the stop number to find out when the next is coming. The building next to the hotel is abandoned, as is the one across the street, but otherwise did not look or feel dangerous.

This hotel was easily in walking distance from the Alamodome. Its a bit further to the Riverwalk and the Alamo but walk-able. The hotel is newly remodeled clean and affordable. The rooms were actually surprisingly nice and the free parking is hard to find in San Antonio. The breakfast is a joke though.

We were in town for an event at the Alamodome and were at the hotel just long enough to crash before going home next day, but it was a nice place to say. The hotel is small, cute, and clean. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I'd stay here again!

From the outside you would think that the hotel is a little shabby, but on the inside the room is immaculate like the tile accents and crown molding. Front desk staff stayed away alot but overall great stay! I love San Antonio

Neat and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Modest breakfast but limited to coffee and pastries. Perfect for a quick bite before hitting the road. They extended my reservation without any issues at the same rate I booked the original reservation at.

From the outside I wasn't too impress by the look of the hotel. Once on the inside it had a great feel! Staff was friendly and the rooms had that homy feel! I felt like I was at a relaxing ranch! Great location, pretty close to the riverwalk! Overall good choice!

It was not bad for the 2 night stay we were there. The room smelled clean, own AC unit was cool but a little noisy. My sheets had a small stain on it ..but didnt pay much attention. Housekeeping went into our room when we werent there and i noticed some of OUR snacks were gone (meaning housekeeping took some)... she also took my personal towel i had […] taken...every morning we saw NO breakfast anywhere....and suppose to be free. The hotel room was small, but very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. If you like to walk, the River Walk is about a mile away. The neighborhood is not the greatest, so we drove to restaurants, etc., but for the price, the hotel fit our needs perfectly.

The hotel was close enough to the Riverwalk where I could walk to. For the price it can't be beat. The neighborhood isn't the best so if you're a single female I wouldn't recommend walking anywhere but I felt fine since I was with my husband. Another downfall is that there are houses directly behind the hotel and there was a dog barking starting at […] 4am and lasted until check out! Very clean hotel, comfortable....and the best part - within walking distance to the riverwalk! Yes, the surrounding neighborhood is not the best - but we did not feel like it was an issue with the accomodation. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

San Antonio, with the advantage of being far enough away from the blasts of rail road train horns in the middle of the night (other in town hotels are not so lucky.) Clearly the rooms were carefully designed by an interior architect with rustic Mexican furniture in keeping the spirit of San Antonio. […] It is beautifully done. The plumbing cooling and heating is all practically new, and very clean. The hotel is about half a mile from Denny's and the heart of San Antonio, which makes up for a poor breakfast bar/area. Don't be put-off by the neighborhood as the convenience will be realized once you go back and forth between the city and the hotel. Perfect location in that it is super near Riverwalk and San Antonio Down town area. Neighborhood isn't the greatest but still felt safe enough. Hotel in amazing condition, kept really clean. Design of rooms was good. Liked that it was a small homie size. Liked parking under garage like conditions. Yet not much parking spots, make sure to get there early […] enough to get spots. It was a pleasant stay. I like the room I stayed in just wish the floor was cleaned better. And if you planning to stay here try to get a room with the even number ( window on the back side ) otherwise the noise from the mane door will disturb the enjoyment of staying in this hotel.

I was a little nervous about the surroundings, but it was great. The rooms were very nice and clean, AC worked great! Can't beat for the price paid. The only thing i would add to rooms is a full size mirror and one by desk for women especially. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Great stay, great room, air conditioner a little loud but cool. Room was spotless and new. We arrived early and parked under the portal so our car was protected and cool. Breakfast was coffee with sugar and instant creamer and a sweet roll. It was more than I like to pay for a hotel, but ok given the price of hotels in the area.
