Overall v happy with the hotel. Nice & friendly staff, spacious bathroom, clean & spacious bedroom. Will be good to have a safe & fridge in the hotel room.

This is a very nicely appointed hotel that we thought must be fairly recently built or renovated. Our room was actually level with the railway line but they obviously have good quality double glazing as we could barely hear the trains. The several restaurants within walking distance have a range of prices (as is often the case there are some good lunchtime […] deals to be had) and tucked between them we found a supermarket which was handy for snacks. Good Hotel, good location, excellent breakfast, friendly staff,the only downside was we had a room overlooking a very busy rail track and although reasonable sound proofing when windows were shut at night if you want to sleep with the window open the trains run throughout the night noisy !!!

This was a convenient, clean, and very comfortable hotel. The rooms were a good size. The hotel and furnishings seemed brand new. The breakfast was plentiful with good variety. The free Wi-Fi was nice. The hotel is conveniently located near the U-bahn (Uhlandstrass) and S bahn (Zoological Gardens) stations. The main tourist buses and the bus to Tegel […] airport starts here as well (Zoo Gardens). There is a grocery store about a 10 minute walk away. A large shopping area (Kufursterdamm) and dining area (Savigny Platz) are within a 5-10 minute walk away. I felt very safe in this neighborhood, even later at night. Stayed in hotel in Feb 2012 - newly renovated and in excellent condition, room really comfortable and spacious. Nice shower with full range of toiletries. Near to 3 stations so easy to get to all parts of the city and the airport, city tour bus starts 1 road away. Worth getting the ticket - lasts 2 days and covers most of the city. Breakfast includes […] usual range of cereal, fruit, bread, cheese etc plus sausage and eggs. Good location for doing all the usual tourist activities although I felt the area was quiet at night. Best thing about the hotel was the staff who couldn't be more helpful - from when we checked in late evening, providing recommendations for restaurants and maps, to printing train times when we were leaving - just ask & they will do their best to help. Friendly staff, nice rooms, decent breakfast and quite central location in what seems to be a rather new building.

The hotel is clean, centrally located and with a delicious breakfast buffet. Had a room towards the railway but wasn't bothered by any noise. Keep the windows closed, otherwise you will get bothered.

Nice hotel situated at the heart of Berlin's shopping street. I can just walk out from the hotel and start shopping. Close to all famous tourist attraction and with the tourist information just stone throw's away. Super friendly and efficient staff, check-in process is completed within 5 minutes. The staff is well prepared and remember guest name and […] detail. I just need to provide my name and everything is done. Room is spacious and clean, with a nice view. The only downside is the breakfast, the breakfast is good. But after 5 days eating the same thing, makes you feel a bit boring. They are a good hotel......clean and friendly!!

Needing a nice hotel after a long plane/train trip to Berlin, Hampton by Hilton offered an ideal location and service. It met all its goals of service and comfort. The staff were helpful, the room comfortable and the breakfast buffet was fantastic! Will certainly return if in Berlin!

The hotel lies fairly sentral in Berlin with easy access to subway, shopping facilities and restaurants. Breakfast selection was excellent, but a little minus regarding window facing the train tracks (noise). training facilities were very good.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel 3 nights in January 2012. The service was really good! The food is reasonable The room was very clean Excellent hotel! We'll definitely come back again!

I GOT THE ROOM AT THE INTERNET PRICE AND IT WAS EXCELLENT VALUE. SPECIAL MENTION FOR THE FREE WI-FI WHICH COSTS A LOT OF MONEY ELSEWHERE. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND ROOM COMFORTABLE. GOOD LOCATION. COMFORTABLE ROOM. WILLING STAFF.

The hotel is perfect in every way, clean, modern, comfortable, good breakfast and perfect location. The only drawback were the very uncomfortable pillows which made our nights a nightmare, in our opinion they are more a cushion than a pillow. But other than that everything was perfect.

Lovely hotel, Was just over for a weekend break to visit the christmas market. Staff were very helpful and friendly and had leaflets on the markets. They gave us a map with all the markets marked out on it and gave us instructions for the cheapest train fares etc. Rooms were lovely and spacious, clean and the shower was fab. This hotel is close to the airport Tegel. From Tegel there is good public transportation to the hotel, taxi is not expensive either. Staff spoke good english and they were always willing to help with anything. The breakfast was really good, you were really able to fill your stomach. The only thing that was really missing were the fresh vegetables tomatoes, […] sallad and cucumber for example. You could get three different kind of coffees, but the regular one didn't taste so good.Cleaning of the rooms was done perfectly, no notes about that. The only bad thing about this hotel really was that some of the rooms were on the side of railways. You could hear the trains going by. But that was factor, that least I could get to use to. Hotel was really quiet and the neighbourhood was everything you could hope as a turist. It was easy to get around and public tranportation was close. We would definitely recommend this hotel as it ticked all the boxes, the only complaint we would have is that there are no shelves or drawers to put your small clothes but otherwise it is an excellent hotel and we would book it again.

This is our 3rd stay at this hotel. No more need be said, but, very nice in a convenient location. Great value for the room rate.

Spent a couple of days walking around the city, the hotel is in excellent location if you want to walk, steps from the zoo. The bus 100 takes you straight to the gate and museum district if walking is not preferred. It doesn't have spa, pool or luxury amenities, but that is not what we were looking for anyway. Question about local phones...are they free because you charged me over 6 euros for calls...the rental car call was only 0.14 cents/min ! Otherwise an excellent hotel !

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Superb service, excellent room, very clean, attentive staff. We had a little trouble with the heating in the room, but as we were only there for 2 nights we didn't bother complaining. We did ask for a room away from the train tracks, but ended up directly above them. Even so, as we were on the sixth floor, the […] noise was hardly noticeable. If we had been on floor 2 or 3 I think it would have been a problem. The bar and breakfast areas were great. Bar service was faultless and there were no problems with the continental breakfast. Definitely the cleanest hotel and room I've stayed at. Modern, tea and coffee facilities in the room, ironing board in the room. Comfy bed, superb bathroom, plenty of floor space. To be fair, I love Hamptons the world over, but with wireless and a hot breakfast buffet thrown in, this was a great value -- far cheaper than other hotels that didn't offer those amenities. Our room was recently renovated and well appointed, and since there was a cold snap, we especially appreciated the coffee/tea kettle. It's just a few blocks down […] from the subway in the trendy K'damm neighborhood, which is really nice -- though subway maintenance at the time made it hard to get to from the city center. The breakfast buffet was attacked so fast the staff had trouble keeping it stocked -- especially late in the morning -- but the food was good and kept us full until dinner. Other reviews mention the train, and it was right below our 5th floor window, but we were never disturbed by it. In fact, we loved looking out at the Marx/Engels mural across the tracks! If might not know it yet, but you are looking at one of the best deals in hotels in Berlin. We chose this hotel primarily because of free buffet breakfast and free internet service. Well, yes, in many hotels, you have to pay for these amenities. Their breakfast is an American-style buffet breakfast, and if you come away hungry it would be your own […] fault. I believe that they served breakfast for at least two hours, probably three. We didn't find the need to get lunch because we were all stuffed for good. As for the wifi, you can have it for free until the day you check out. Actually, my wifi ran out the night before, and they extended it pronto, without questions. The front desk staff was excellent. This fellow Birk was very helpful and patient. He worked with us on sights to see and how to get there, and we required a daily dose of instructions. The Hampton is ideally situated within five minutess walk of the Ubahn on Uhlandstrasse and the suburban S lines at SavignyPlatz. So, you can take both elevated trains and the subway. Berlin, turns out, is a very easily navigated city. True German efficiency everywhere. If there is a concern about the noise stemming from the elevate tracks of the S lines that run quite close to the hotel, we certainly didn't find it to be a factor. In fact, our room, Room 330, was quiet even though we could see the train tracks from our window. It's not a vacation-ruining factor really. The room was cleaned spic and span everyday. It looked like a new room every time we got home from our all-day gallivanting. The hotel isn't very expansive but there are adequate spaces for lounging around on the main floor. Travelling as a family of 5 we had booked two rooms and a parking space before we arrived. When we arrived we were initially told there were no parks available, but then one was found for us for the duration of our stay. The rooms initially provided to us were on different floors, however once we explained we were a family and wanted to be closer together, […] the staff were very helpful in rearranging things so that we were across the hall from each other. Rooms were clean and well catered. Internet was free and strong connection. Breakfast was a little pricey and we ate out for our meals for the time of our stay - not because we didn't want to eat at the hotel, but because we were on the move a lot. Staff were friendly and VERY helpful and provided us with maps of the city. The hotel is located right next to the shopping hub of Berlin and we were able to walk down to the large park in the centre of the city. Lots of restaurants to eat at and things to see and do in Berlin so this hotel is located very conveniently for all those things. Recommend this hotel for anyone - family, couples, retirees. The staff were very friendly here! This hotel does not have parking, they use a city parking garage down the street, but not too far and they let you unload bags in front of the hotel. Also offer free luggage storage after checkout. To use the elevator, you need your room card. Free breakfast & plenty of choices, meats & cheese, eggs & bacon, cereal […] & yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffee. Room was spacious & comfy, closet door was also the bathroom door. Shower had complimentary shampoo, conditioner, & shower gel. For light sleepers, the u-bahn train passes right outside the hotel, but we didn't hear it all night. Location is very convenient for city bus tours, 1/2 block away, and the u-bahn stop is also 1/2 block away. Stayed here very recently and can honestly say that I have never been as impressed with a hotel as I was with the Hampton by Hilton. Firstly, the location is amazing. Stationed just of the main shopping street Ku'Damm, it is perfectly located for all the shops and a great starting point to get the sightseeing buses as well as being located very close […] to the zoo. The staff were very good there, tending to any needs you had, which in our case was checking in 3 hours before the allotted time yet they managed to sort out a room for us straight away. This hotel is located walking distance to Zoo station, one of the main train station (most of the tours starts from here), and very quite neighborhood to stay. Everything is walking distance, to the restaurants, shopping areas, etc. Most of all, the staff members of the hotel are all very friendly and answered all our questions. The staff was quite personable and very helpful. The location was outside the museum district but transport options were numerous and very convenient. Breakfasts were generous with many options. We would stay here again.

We stayed in 5 hotels in our trip to Germany and the Hampton was by far the nicest. The rooms are large, clean and very modern. The hotel is located in a very safe section about half a block to the main street and upscale shopping. The breakfast was good but the room got very crowded by 9:00.

good location, Zoo railway station close by so transfer to and from airport was easy. Friendly staff with high standard of English spoken. Room very comfortable but door to bathroom's glass design doesn't allow it to fully close so that was slightly dissapointing. Breakfast was good and bar was very pleasent for an evening drink.

Hampton by Hilton is typically German in that it is extremely clean and organized. Check in was fast and efficient, but did lack personal touch. Staff were helpful but only to a point and were not very correct with distance. Bed was not that comfortable and we realize that the pillows are what Germany uses, but the ones we had were very uncomfortable […] - should be firmer. Breakfast - what is with the cafeteria trays? Incredibly impersonal and breakfast was the same every day with not much choice. Also the airconditioning was a nightmare, very, very sensitive. Checked into hotel, and was dealt with quickly and was given a map with local attractions pointed out. We were traveling with family, and were given rooms on the 7th floor 704 and 705 both queen rooms. We were pleased about this because we thought that we were next door to each other. However this was not the case, the room numbers are all over the […] place, ours was opposite the lift, theirs were round the corner and up the coriidor? On entering the room the place was spotless, the bathroom was of excellent quality. We opened the door to the balcony, then that first good impression had gone. Trains were going past in both directions, we went straight down to reception to ask if we could move. We were told no, but for the two days that we were there we never saw another person on that floor. The hotel is good, but the location is not. if you don't like trains book another hotel.
