Villa More — Dubrovnik

Villa More is a good choice if you prefer to cook your own meals, and stay in apartment-style accommodations. The apartment was huge, clean, and after each outing we came back to a tidied apartment. The grounds are very nice as well, and it is very close to Lopud Beach and its promenade. Villa More is also within walking distance (about a half hour […] walk - fairly brisk) to Dubrovnik's old city. One negative point was that there is no one on-premises to provide access to your room - you must first visit Hotel More (associated hotel), or give Hotel More a call, and the hotel will send an employee down to let you in and provide you with keys. However, if you have a cell phone with you, this will not be a problem - it takes about 10 minutes for someone from the hotel to drive over to Villa More. Overall, we were very impressed. The apartment is very comfortable and super clean and is extremely well maintained. It is opposite a shopping centre and beside the main promenade in Lapad with all the restaurants and hotels. Unfortunately the villa pool was drained in October (understandable as Oct is very much off-season) The Villa is part of the beautiful Hotel More about 10 mins […] walk away, and the staff of the hotel could not have been nicer. All the facilities of the hotel (incl pool, wellness centre, hot tub) are available to the villa guests, and it is easily the most relaxing hotel I've ever been in. It is beautifully decorated with fabulous views and location, and everything we asked for was immediately supplied by the amazing staff who took great care of us - drove us to the apartment on check in, helped us decide what catering equipment we needed for our small baby and made sure we had it all, etc, etc. They really went out of their way to make us comfortable. The last night of our stay was my husband's birthday and while I forgot, the hotel manager didn't, and the surprise bottle of wine he sent to the apartment saved the day! We had a very rushed 5 days in Dubrovnik as we had to cram in business and personal visits as well as travel to a nearby island. It could have been very stressful, but because of the hotel and the staff, we actually managed to have a lovely time. Top marks! Uzziniet vairāk
