Karon Sovereign All Suites Resort — Phuket

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly. The resort is a bit far from the attractions but we rented scooters to get around the island during our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.

hotel was not too convenient to find esp. because they recently changed their name. the location is just okay, its not too far from town but its a little sketchy to walk around during nighttime back to the hotel.

great value, luxuriously appointed spacious rooms; service needs to be propped up though - on checkin the receiptionist insisted on collecting airport transfer fee upfront & was a stickler in enforcing the 2pm checkin rule. We had a junior family suite,2 x adults 2 x teenagers. The hotel is great. Its about a 10-15 min walk from the beach restaurants and markets, which was no problem for us, but might be if you dont like to walk in the heat.

I took my mother and daughter for a 5 day stay stay at the Dewa Resort, overall it was ok. I was surprised that a resort which was only just over 12mths old was already tired looking. Our room which was a Family Suite (2bdrms 2 baths) was very tired, granite bench tops very scratched, walls/paint very marked and grubby looking. Kitchen cupboards needed […] a good clean, there were splashes and runs of possibly milk on them. Mirror on the cupboard door in bed 2 had fingerprints on it. Overall just grubby. The beds were the worst beds I have ever slept in! and I've travelled extensively, they were so bad I ended up sleeping on the couch which was more comfortable, we organised another doona which mum slept on top of, just to make it a little more comfortable for her. When I looked at pics on Dewa they showed a couch and easy chair in the lounge, we only had a 3 seater couch, so there really wasn't alot of having your own space for a room which is supposed to cater for 4 adults! When we went for a swim there was thick mould around the inner rim of the pool and also where the waterfall is into the lower section of the pool, it was really off putting and didn't really want to swim in there after seeing this (yuk) Also had several problems with air conditioning not cooling properly, which in the 2nd bedroom was never really resolved. The negatives are the too many stairs around the property and climbing on stairs to first floor accomodation and second floor accomodation is a bit tiring. We loved our Stay at the Dewa Karon Beach the resort was very pretty and the apartment very very comfortable with aircon in each room. Water supplied free daily as the water is not drinkable from taps. Pool was great. Staff very friendly and the complimentary Breakfast was wonderful however we all put on weight it was so good. Breakfast was good though there wasn't a huge variety but enough to keep you happy .The omolettes were beautiful. We stayed in a junior suite and with two bathrooms with a spa in one and two good sized bedrooms ,there was ample room for three of us. Loved everything about this place. Very clean, new, stylish and spacious 2 bed apartment up 2 flights of stairs (no lift). Kitchenette with microwave, kettle and large fridge/freezer (no other cooking facilities). Large balcony with table and 4 chairs. Large ensuite bathroom with shower over bathtub, second shower room to second bedroom. Breakfast buffet […] had cereals, fruit, yoghurt, breads and croissants, egg station, sausages, bacon etc. Restaurant menu limited for lunch and dinner; better value at Pacific Club resort next door (fantastic choices, great prices). Plenty of restaurant choices in Karon, 10 mins walk. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very safe walking up narrow roadway to resort during day, not so sure at night as road is poorly lit. We either ate early in town and walked back before dark or ate next door. Daily free shuttle to beach or Karon town. The resort staff are wonderful and management speak english. We stayed in a 2 bedroom appartment which was very spaceous and equipt with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The resort is a walk down hill to town but you can catch a taxi for 200baht no matter how many people as they also have a mini bus. The restuarant breakfast and meals […] are very tasty. My family and I sampled quite alot of their menu and found it to be cooked with Thai influence and care. They have musical entertainment on 3 nights a week by a very talented musician which coencided with their happy hour, which is a great place to meet new people and have a wonderful time. My family and I would highly recommend this resort . We stayed 16 days and enjoyed every day even rainy days as the staff go out of their way to make you happy. It was okay. A fair walk way from the beach and shops, uphill on the way home. Rooms were much smaller than others we stayed in in Phuket. Was handy to have a 2 bedroom apartment though, which seem harder to find.

The hotel is placed in imaculate tropical gardens, the staff are always friendly and speak good english, we were upgraded to a family suite on arrival which was clean, spacious and luxurious. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the beach which we didn't mind walking, for those who prefer though the hotel provides a shuttle daily. Breakfast is amazing with […] a range from western cooked breaky to fruits and buns. All in all I would recommend this affordable oasis to anyone without hesitation. For a 3 star price it was more like a 5 star resort. The only negative I can say is the room service menu was a limited version of the restaurant menu and got a bit same-ish if you ordered in a lot. Wir sind direkt in ein anderes Hotel gezogen. Es liegt richtig abgeschieden auf einem Huegel im Wald. Wir hatten das Penthouse mit Blick auf die Abwasser Fabrik. Dieses Hotel wuerde ich auf keinem Fall weiter empfehlen.

Vi bodde på et av hotellets penhouse rom. To voksne og et barn. Veldig fint med kjøkken og separat soverom. Der var en stor balkong, med utsikt til svømmebaseng/restaurant, der vi hadde fine stunder på kvelden. Svømmebasenget er stort og heilt greit. Restauranten var liten, men hadde god mat, spesielt thaimat. Hotellet ligger ca 15 min å gå fra sentrum/stranden […] og nabolaget er preget av nye hotell under oppbygging. God valuta for pengene her! 步行15分钟左右可以到达KARON海滩以及7-11，路口有不少工地，在烈日下走起来比较糟心；但酒店院子内部很温馨宁静，均由叠加的别墅组成，有小小世外桃源的感觉。厨房配备油烟机、双眼电磁炉、烤箱还有冰箱和微波炉，以及所有需要的刀叉、盘子等厨具，是适合长期居住的地方。如果住在一楼的话，出门穿过阳台就是游泳池；但是感觉并不是十分安全，第一晚我们去海滩之后再回来，原来紧锁的门开了一条缝，导致老人一晚没有睡好。预订部的janya经历和nicky都十分nice，前期沟通细致且很耐心，提供了很多便利。餐饮还不错，大家都说早餐种类不多，确实如此，不过其实其它大酒店基本也就是这样，不能和国内相比，营养和吃饱是完全满足了的。但有两个地方并不满意：一是房间的沙发套看起来不是很干净，各种污渍；二是餐厅的职员感觉不是 […] 很友善，不管早餐晚餐，就餐感觉都不好。 Uzziniet vairāk

Bra och fint hotell i riktigt bra standard med 10 minuters promenad till Karon stranden. Det enda negativa var att det inte var så fint utanför hotellet området men det blir nog finare när dem byggt klart dem andra hotellen runt omkring.Klart prisvärt var det i alla fall! /Johan

Mycket bra hotell. Ligger en bit ifrån stranden, men inga som helst problem att gå. Mycket bra mat på hotellets egna restaurang. Rummet (villa för fyra personer) var rymligt, med två fräscha sovrum och två fräscha badrum. Kök med spis, kaffekokare m.m. fanns även att tillgå. Definitivt värt att boka, både för kompisgäng och barnfamiljer.

Pros: Beautiful resort with good service. Pool area was awesome with poolbar. Alot of sunbeds in different areas, so you have alot of privatecy. We were upgraded to Penthouse (even though they didn't inform us at all). The room was huge with living room, kitchenette and a nice view over the resort. We were at 3rd floor with no elevators, but it didn't […] bother us. We rented a scooter that was parked right below our room at ground floor. My girlfriend became sick and the receptionist drove us to the hospital: Good service! /// Cons: The surrounding area was terrible. It was a dark road leading to the hotel, so we did not feel safe walking alone in the evenings with all the loose dogs and such on the road. We ended up renting a scooter to counter that. Note that are no sunbeds on the top floors as the balconies seem smaller. The worst thing about this hotel was that there was a purification plant next to the hotel (right behind our room), which made our 1st day not so good with the wind blowing the smell to the poolarea. The next 5 days weren't that bad with the wind blowing in the a different direction. Without mentioning specific price it seems to us that they lowered the price to the half, of what was already half, when we bought, which made us unsastified. If we stay here again, we will order the room max 2 weeks in advance to get a better price, now that we know how they operate their prices. Uzziniet vairāk

Vi hade väldigt bra på hotellet. Poolen var väldigt barn vänlig. Finns alltid sugga i någon del av den. Grunda områden för lek och lite djupare för simning. Personalen var väldigt duktiga på service och lekte med våran 10 månaders dotter. Hon äter genom att kasta mat vilt omkring sig och personalen älskade henne ändå!
