Sonesta White Plains Downtown

I arrived quite late, but check-in was a breeze. The hotel was immaculate – from the elevator to my room the entire place was well tended to; freshly scented, not harsh chemicals. Slept like a Queen in my king sized bed- bedding was delightful. Was hoping fitness center or pool would be open, but COVID crushed that hope. Fitness center was adequate and pool was small, but looked like a nice spot to unwind. Had breakfast on site- pricey for eggs and sausage, but the food was prepared perfectly and service was perfect. Bring your own body lotion- they no longer supply travel size amenities per room in an effort to reduce waste. The environmentalist in me approves of this for large hotels, but I didn’t bring any of my own supplies so I was caught off guard. I will definitely go back.

ive been going to this hotel for many years. They only changed the name from the crown plaza. The bar was good. The food was good. little pricey but ok. Check-in was normal. we were there for a yearly pageant. Many kids with parents and he was and looked aggressive. Stood guard at the floor. knocking at peoples doors at 8.30 pm on a saturday to stay quiet. otherwise the stay was good.

Parking should be free.

I give all service industry a pass in these uncertain times. My issue was how short staffed they were and getting stuck in the parking garage 3 times without anyone answering the phone was frustrating. Especially when they charged $18 per day. Other than that some of the staff was friendly and professional in spite of.

My bed was made incorrectly because the sheets were tucked in sideways so I had my toes exposed!!! Never had that problem before

Excellent! Nash the front desk representative was helpful and friendly. Facility was clean and adhered to covid 19 guidelines. pool was clean and simple to reserve.

Clean and nice staff

It was my first time in White Plains, NY. I chose this hotel because it’s in a nice area and near a lot of shops and restaurants. The hotel was nice and clean, very friendly staff, and it was just a pleasant stay overall.

I loved the ambiance of the hotel and how close it is to stores and restaraunts. The only thing I didnt like is that I couldnt change the water pressure in the shower. But overall they are a good hotel. They text you each day of your stay to see how you are doing.

The front desk was rude there’s no water put in your rooms, and they double charged me for parking!
