The young lady was there to do her job, she wasn’t about to go above the minimum required.
Paneling was peeling, wood chipping. Wifi was out (not told to us until we complained). TV wouldn't change channels (we requested help). Rooms smelled. Certain room doors appeared smashed in as if someone tried to break in. Curtain wouldn't close to the outdoors, meaning a streetlight kept shining in our eyes. I didn't feel safe.
The facility itself was nice, not one issue there, clean and well kept. The staff at the front desk, Marcos to be specific, couldn't have been more rude upon arrival. When calling with a simple question, if we were just told no the first time, there would have been no issue, but he said to call back to see if they could accommodate so we did. Upon arrival, he was talking negatively about us behind the counter within an earshot so I could hear everything he said about " us being on him all week about checking in early". Very poor customer service skills
When I went to check in that was no problem. However, if I didn’t ask they did not offer to notify me that the WiFi wasn’t working and there was no timeframe as to when it would come back up.. I had to ask for towels( they only provide one set in the room) and washcloths.. just not what I was expecting
I was very pleased with this stay. You really get more bang for your buck here. I believe this hotel was rated at 7.6 but i would rate it more at like 8.3 or better.
The place is nice its the staff that are not nice. Its clean and the shuttle is very convinient.
Cleanliness was subpar. No extra toilet paper. Room was dusty. Towels weren’t folded nicely. The floor wasn’t entirely clean.
I always stay at this particular hotel when I go to the clinic. Usually it is very clean, organized, and I had never had a problem seeing someone at the counter at all times if they were needed. The first 2 days, everything was fine. No big issues everything was cleaned. The only issue I had was on day 3 in the hotel, I went to turn my keys into the front desk around 4, nobody was up front. Then again I took the keys back up front around 5:15 in the morning, it was making me late for my surgery. So I had no choice but to put our keys on the desk. On our way out to the hospital, we noticed there was 2 younger males and a younger female. I let them know nobody had been at the counter for anlittle over an hour. On day 3, my husband get another hotel room because he can’t stay at the hospital due to COVID19. He called me to let me know he went to the front desk to complain about cleanliness. He said there was something sticky on the floor, a used towel still hanging up. What looked like urine in the floor. You would think during while we are all supposed to be taking extra precautions for cleanliness to help stop spreading germs so easily. It seems like whoever the new manager is there is not doing their job correctly. I am severely disappointed after these past few days. It seems like there is a new manager running it. I would highly recommend not letting her be in that position any longer.
The day before we arrived, I called to verify our reservation and that there would be an airport shuttle. Got to the airport, called, for the shuttle, and I was told there isn't one because the census was low. Great. Spent an extra $70 in transportation costs. Got to the front desk and I was told I would need a parking pass for my vehicle. Okay. Then I had to go back to the front desk to get the parking pass I was told my rental vehicle would need. Poorly trained, poorly managed people at this property.
The room could have used some updates. Bathroom mirror was coming apart and wood pulled off. Bathtub could have been cleaned more.
