The Andrews Hotel

The room was clean (though) I am not sure how carefully. The bed was comfortable and the staff was courteous. The wifi was strong and reliable. The windows were old and didn't fully close airtight (allowing extra noise in the room), every channel on the TV had snow on it and it was basically useless. I slept next to their managerial office and every time someone came and left the heavy door would not only be loud but shake the wall. The bathroom was too small. I couldn't brush my teeth without bending far over and hitting my head on the vanity, the toilet was for kids height and I can barely fit in there.

Very comfortable with a friendly staff. The hotel is a bit dated but that adds to its charm. The restaurant/bar attached has excellent food and great staff.

Good value, clean room and excellent location yields solid 3 Star rating but condition of general areas has deteriorated over time. Hallway upgrades would be good, and improve overall rating.

The hotel is just ok. The lady at the front desk was less than helpful. There is no air conditioning in the rooms and with the window open there was a lot of city noise. I would not stay here again.

The Andrews is a no-frills, older hotel on the fringe of Union Square. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the radiator keeps the temperature comfortable. The neighborhood can get a little noisy, especially in the early morning. There is a very good complementary continental breakfast buffet set up on every floor, which is nice to wake up to. Coffee, croissants and danish, fresh fruit and OJ.
