Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dallas/Stemmons Fwy(I-35)

Room smelled like cigarette smoke. They did move us to another room. We asked for a plunger and they wanted us to come and get it. They did finally deliver to room after we asked for delivery.

The hotel is nice. The front ladies are nice too! Just few choices to eat nearby, takes 15-20mins to drive to city, overall it's good with the price.

Great room size, very easy Highway access and clean.

I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the bedding. There was a comforter for the sofa bed which was stained with blood or something appearing to be blood. I was disappointed that this comforter was provided to us. The room was a lot smaller than we expected, especially since it was called a 'suite.' You can get a real suite elsewhere for a similar price and cleaner bedding as well. The location is close to the freeway and some restaurants, but not much else.

Check-in was fast and easy. We went to our room and as soon as we opened the door, the stench of cigarrete smoke hit. It was a non-smoking room, but the odor was VERY strong. We called and asked for a different room, but none were available. They did have a housekeeper come and spray some air freshener, but that only lasted a few minutes. We were there for four (4) days and the smell never left. The A/C did work great! It was very hot outside, but we actually had to turn down the A/C because it was too cold in the room. The hotel location was 15-20 minutes to anything you wanted (dining, shopping, outlet malls, etc). However, the location itself was lacking. There seemed to be a strip club on every corner.
