The Academy

Hotel was a really lovely boutique style hotel. Gorgeous furniture and nice relaxed atmosphere. I booked my trip last minute and in a rush and hadn’t realised I’d booked a single room. The hotel was fully booked so I couldn’t change and was worried it would be time. This was fine though the single room was enough. Breakfast was continental but not your average and the coffee was fabulous. The staff were very attentive and super helpful. Lovely stay I will book again.

Had a great three stay night stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was small but it was all I needed for a base to explore London. WiFi and air conditioning both worked great the whole trip. Breakfast and bar were both nice as well.

This was my fourth stay here in ten months. Obviously I like the place or I wouldn't stay as often, however the personal touch and caring employees are gone. One night the bartender closed the tiny bar without telling it's 5 occupants (of which I was one). When I went to the bar to request a second glass of wine, I was informed it was closed. I asked if a simple glass of wine could be poured and I was told no. Certainly not the experience one is looking for in a boutique hotel. I'm not sure if there have been so many personnel changes due to attrition or budget cuts but the staff is no where near the caliber of what was there earlier this year. When you're paying a premium, it's not unreasonable to expect personable service.

Great location. 5 min walk to British museum. We walked back after diner from Covent Garden. Lots of great local restaurants within a few blocks.Staffs were all very helpful. Room size was bigger than most. Buffet continental breakfast had warm hard boiled eggs. We will come back and stay again.

What a beautiful hotel. Perfect boutiques experience. Bed was so comfortable lovely thick bedding. Room was spotlessly clean. Bathroom was gorgeous with a great spacious shower. Loved it all. Would highly recommend
