Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas All Inclusive

We had a great time at the Riu Palace! We really appreciated how they took extra measures to make sure the resort was sanitized and clean. The food at the speciality restaurants was just okay. Many times we’d eat at a speciality restaurant, and then head to the buffet. We loved the many choices at the buffet. The amenities were great! The staff was always pleasant! We will definitely return!

Overall it was okay. Not too impressed. I booked a ocean view room and I got a partial view and Im very disappointed with it. Property is super clean. Staff wearing mask all the time and check your temperature due covid.

The resort itself is fine but noisy. The food is terrible and all activities are outside the resort.

The staff is always cleaning nonstop and everyone is so friendly at the resort the food got a bit boring after a few days but that’s to be expected but the sushi restaurant and Italian restaurant won me over, loved the food from the restaurant at the resorts and the staff was amazing. I would return just to see the amazing staff at the Riu Palace.

They made an effort to follow Covid19 practices. Good buffet and good location.

Room was great. Jacuzzi on balcony was great. A little older hotel but not bad at all. No room service or alcohol in the room except beer. Also only beer, wine & Champaign available in restaurants & buffet. Cocktails & shots only available in bars. Beach was great as well.

Very clean, the view from the pool amazing (the arch) the stuff very very nice, the food is great.

The grounds were very pretty. Some resturants were better than others. Id avoid the Japanese restaurant and go for the steak house.A bit of a pain that they don’t offer reservations at any of their restaurants which cause many guests to be shut out the day we arrived. The beach is unswimmable. The pool was very nice but had some construction in the morning but it was easy to spread out during the pandemic. We felt very safe traveling here during the pandemic.rules were enforced well enough. Be aware that they won’t pick you up for the free shuttle if you don’t book directly w the hotel. We had to hire our own transportation which I thought was a little nutty. Over all enjoy our stay but they could have gone the extra mile for our honeymoon.

Pros: 1. All the staff are nice and helpful. 2. Food quality/variety is great. 3. Different types of pools (one with music, 2 adult ones with bars attached, one without music) 4. Two gyms - one for weights and one for cardio. Appointment for weight section is needed because of pandemic so it doesn't get too crowded. Cardio gym(running machines) is downstairs facing the water 5. Very clean - you see staff constantly cleaning with a mask on. 6. Entertainment - Shows every night (not my cup of tea) but also there was a pianist at the terrace bar/cafe and it was one of the highlights in our stay. 7. Photographer - If you see one walking around, you have to ask her to take your photos. They are great. Cons: 1. Restaurants (for dinner) don't take reservations. It's first come first serve so if you go little later than the opening hour, most likely you will have to eat at the buffet. Also not all of them are open everyday so you need to check which one is open that day. 2. Cardio gym - Nobody is regulating how many people are using the gym so you see all these people with no mask huffing and puffing inside this tiny gym. 3. They don't hand out a map and there is no map in the property either. It has directions but it took us a few days to know where everything is. 4. Non-designated smoking area. People smoking around the pool area. 5. Because the floor is tile, it echos like crazy. Every time carts pass by or people are talking in the hallway it gets extremely loud.

I liked the italian restaurant. I did not like the small pools qnd no hot tubs and of course the evening pools closed at 7 which is stupid and nasically wasted our trip because we were not able to use pool at night like orher places. The hyatt ziva makes this place look like a 2 star.
