Viesnīca un spa „Baltic Beach”

Mostly great, but some odd rules, it was super hot and busy, but guests of the hotel were not allowed to use the (empty) cabanas on the beach!

It is a good 4star property. I think the best to choose to stay in Jurmala. If you order a room on Expedia they put you in the lower level worst rooms , but you can upgrade for 30euro for a better one and yes, there is a huge difference. Pls expect that not everybody speaks good English at the front desk and if you need to get something g you might need to speak to several people. Their Spa and workout facilities are excellent. Breakfast is included and it is great too. Close walk to all major facilities and they have a 24 hour lobby bar open which is very helpful if you arrive late. I would give it a tip score if I didn’t have to deal with the room situation.

Everything is great about this hotel-location, spa, food, shops. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

I booked this beautifully looking hotel 2 months prior my trip and I got a dark room in a semi-basement in a building next to a hotel on a picture. My bed was so firm that I couldn't sleep on it and a housekeeper said that they just forgot to put a mattress cover on it. There was no enough sunbeds on a beach and a waitress service was just bad... I ordered a taxi to an airport and a front desk told me that it cost $47 and I know that I paid $17 on my way to the hotel, so I asked a girl why it's $47. The answer was that she didn't understand my request and gave me not a taxi but a hotel car. On a positive side: a great location and delicious breakfast. I was looking forward my stay and now I regret choosing this hotel.

This is truly a five star establishment, the lengths the staff goes to for their clientele is amazing. The staff all speak excellent English, and Latvian, which helped me greatly as I know just a small amount of Latvian. They are also proficient in Russian, which helps as a great deal of Russians enjoy visiting Latvia, and the beach side resorts of Jurmala. I stayed at this resort the night before my birthday, and the staff somehow found out it was my birthday and surprised me with a nice cake and a card at breakfast. It is these considerations and personal touches that lift this resort to the five star level.

Hotel is a bit old and required renovation. SPA area is to be upgraded. But regardless condition, staff is a key for hotel’s success.

Lovely 4 day stay on the Baltic Sea. We chose a deluxe room that came with a balcony and sea view. Quite fantastic to be drinking wine and watching the sunset from the balcony! Breakfast buffet was very good with a good choice of hot and cold food. Nice leisure facilities. An all round pleasant stay!
