The actual resort was great, great location and our room was well place near the pool. We paid $220.00 per night with no breakfast and our expectation of our room and service of the room was very disappointing. The bed was placed right up against the bathroom wall which meant that you had to crawl down the bed to get in or out of the bed. When I was younger this would not have been a problem however now in my sixties and with a recent full knee replacement this is not possible. My husband is 77 so it was not an option to change sides. We advised reception and they did come down and move the bed but the gap was only 6 inches so still uncomfortable. We didn't bother ask to change rooms as other rooms would probably have been the same or in a crappy location. Everyday we had to ask for towels even after the room had just been serviced, on one occasion silly me had a shower forgetting to check for a towel, my husband went to reception to get one only be told one would be brought down immediately. ONE HOUR later 2 towels arrived still hot from the dryer. Over 30 plus years of travelling to Bali and staying 2 stars to 5 star, this was the worst for the price, if I was staying 2 star I could laugh about it but $220.00 a night this was unacceptable. A real shame as we loved the resort and location, will I go again unlikely as my trust has gone out the window. This was also our first stay in Sanur and it has put us off going again.
Great location on Sanur Beach walk and close to Hardy's
Our second time at the hotel and it was as remembered... a beautiful place, well maintained and really nice pools, all on a very clean beach. The location is really perfect for getting around and walking. A few things keep it from a top rating include marginal breakfast buffet (which was expensive for Bali) and the hit and miss bar and food service at the pool (food that never comes and 30 minutes to get a bill) The other issue we encountered was unreliable WiFi and intermittent sewage smells in our bathrooms (we had two rooms).

Balinese style resort on the beach in Sanur. Property is a little older with beautiful gardens and grounds. Stayed in deluxe rooms close to reception and they were very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. Checkin and checkout very easy. Lots of restaurants close by. Breakfast was adequate but variety could be better. Overall property was a little on the pricey side but I would stay again.
Excellent helpful staff. Wife in a wheelchair and ramps everywhere to assist. Only one of the three pools accessible for the wheelchair though. Beautiful well tended gardens throughout. Cannot get better in Sanur.
Very happy overall with the Griya Santrian, it’s one of the nicest hotels in Sanur. The thing that I really did not like was the way the sun loungers by the pool were reserved by 7.00am! Most remained unoccupied, even by 11.00am - some all day. The hotel really ought to gently clamp down on the selfish guests who do this.
Property kept immaculately clean and grest gardens with a number of different fruit trees
We have stayed at the resort before over 10yrs a go - the reason why was because we had such a great time last time- it didn’t disappoint, they have updated all the rooms etc but have kept all the charm - the team at the resort was excellent and the rooms were clean and immaculate- couldn’t find a thing wrong We will be back
