Canaima Apartments - Adults Only

It was a nice place to stay and the staff was friendly.

Very nice appartment with a lovely view of the Puerto Rico and ocean in a distance. Some noise coming from the nearby appartment due to refurbishment being carried out but this is expected in winter months.

Very nice apartment. Clean, Tidy. Pool was lovely, and it was a great location for sunbathing. The staff were very polite, too. Only difficulty was gaining a connection to the free WiFi. Numerous devices I had suffered the same problem.

Lovely week away for our 2nd stay at the Canaima. Room with balcony and sight of the sea, very comfortable and clean. Hotel staff are very helpful but shame the pool bar closed at 3.30pm in the afternoon. There are plenty of pubs/restaurants within walking distance and lots of steps!! This is an adults only hotel which was great until we had the inconsiderate & rude twenty somethings move in next door!!

Spent a very comfortable 11 nights at Canaima, and throughly enjoyed our stay. Our apartment was plenty big enough, beds were comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. Almost daily maid service and always new towels, which weren't really needed! The apartment complex is up in the cliffs, and yes, plenty of steps to climb when coming out of our apartment, and going into the town and beach. Being mobile is essential, although a taxi is only 2.50-3.00 Euros, which is fine if your legs have given up! The pool area was really nice, two splash pools and a swimming pool. Plenty of beds available, and the astro turf made it look nice. The pool bar was fine, had lunch there one day, which was perfect. Though we didn't try breakfast (cooked our own). Very clean, excellent. Didn't really like the commercial centre though, loads of restaurants and bars, bit too noisy for us. Couple of supermarkets to stock up in - wine there was cheap! We preferred the restaurants down by the beach - a bit further to walk, but nicer. Did a couple of boat trips - Mogan is a must! So pretty. All in all, very good, but wouldn't really go to Peurto Rico again.

Me and my girlfriend had a lovely stay, the hotel is run by lovely people and the room was immaculate.

I usually thoroughly research holiday properties but chose this one as a spur of the moment decision. However, it was a good find and perfect for what I was looking for. Ideal that it is adults only especially as I stayed there during the school summer holidays. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and had good facilities - complete kitchen, crockery etc. It was nice to have a balcony as well but didn't spend that much time there. I spent most of my days by the pool and I noticed that some apartments/hotels nearby didn't seem to have as many deckchairs/space by the pool as this one. I enjoyed a mojito or two from the pool bar, however, it was only open from 10am till 3.30pm. The staff at the hotel were polite and helpful. It was a 10 minute walk to the shops, where there is a supermarket, restaurants etc. Puerto rico beach is ok but Amadores beach is better, but it is about a 30 minute walk. I think the only downside to the apartment was that you could hear noise from the apartment upstairs, even knew when they were in the bathroom!

Brilliant value for money and excellently equipped - combo oven, fridge freezer, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, safe. Over 280 steps from apartment to shopping centre but a taxi back was between 3 and 4 euros depending on the time of day. The reception staff were extremely friendly and always helpful Can highly recommend the accommodation

Buzzing noise in room, smell of drains bed not comfortable, but reception staff very friendly and helpful overall ok
