We had very difficult time trying to locate the Hotel. They do have a little parking lot behind the building but you would never find it without checking in first. They changed owners the week we arrived and have not updated the name yet. Very difficult to locate. I cannot say that this was the best value for the money we spent. The stores below the Hotel are filthy. The staff was extraordinary helpful and friendly, and the rooms were as clean as they could be. You could tell that it truly was a grand hotel at one point. We ended up staying at Port Inn and the experience was night and day. It was very difficult to get in and out of the tub and the water from the shower went everywhere. There were a cover there was a cover over the pipe for the tub that was noisy and broken down. You just push the water into the hole in the floor. The cover over the hole was nice, and the pipe made a loud gurgling noise as the water drained out of the pipes. I just closed the door. They really you could tell they made an effort to clean it up, but it's way overpriced for what you paid for. There is art piled in the corners and the rooftop is in complete shambles. It was one of those experiences if you could look past The disarray you could see the beauty. A little more effort than I cared to take. I do have to say breakfast was amazing! At the Gallery Cafe.
Very helpful staff. Less than great housekeeping (no new towels) on the Sabbath. Unfortunately, near a very loud bar.
We enjoy the location, the service, the staff, the atmosphere, the art works, the view, the quietness
Old hotel . Excellent breakfast . Small and difficult parking area shared with others.
Old hotel and little dirty, update won't hurt. The only saving grace is a lot of art in the halls! Also nice bath with a Jacuzzi jets. Breakfast was not included and the one in the cafe downstairs was uninspired, but just ok by Israel standard. The area is kind of dirty, but that's to be expected, because this hotel is just above the bazaar. There's free parking in the back, which is a big plus if you're driving. It's very tight, but manageable.
