Hotel Dogana

Lovely hotel, a small but clean and modern room with wonderful skylight and blackout blinds. The wifi was not working for a day or so during our stay but otherwise worked well. The restaurant downstairs was convenient as well as the option to hire bikes from reception! Buses stop right outside both in the direction of Sirmione and Garda/Verona.

Conveniently located between Peschiera and Sirmione, a car would be required to get around the area, but otherwise was a great stay. Comfortable, clean, AC, pool, free parking, great breakfast selection, easy checkin...both of us were very happy with the stay and especially the price.

The hotel is not centrally located but ok with a car or bikes. The place is spotlessly clean and although extremely basic it was sufficient for a short stay. There was no safety deposit or hot drinks kettle in the room - the TV had no English speaking channels. The biggest dissapointments were the way the view was obscured by a high walled balcony you could only see over if you stood on a chair! What a tragedy in such a beautiful location! And the size of the room was very small! The bathroom was spacious and the shower hot and powerful with decent towels though not much space to put toiletries or a tooth brush - again an indicator of the basicness of the hotel. The restaurant attached does really superb food! But the service is slow and chaotic! Such a shame as it was the best pizza and pasta we had in our whole Italian stay but chasing your food is no fun! The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good with lots of whole food and healthy options, gluten free products and generally a very big range! Good bonus! The friendliness and willingness of the staff to be helpful was also surprisingly poor. They were not very helpful to us with my husband having recent injury on his leg which was in a brace. We asked for a room upgrade for a little more space and on hotels com it was £20 a night more which was fine with us, but they wanted us to pay rack rate which was 3 times more. They wouldn't let us cancel and rebook through the existing hotels booking to save £. Things to work on!

I stayed at the Hotel Dogana with my friend as we travelled across Milan and Lake Garda for our trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Dogana Hotel. Helpful and very friendly staff. Bus stops directly outside Hotel. Excellent Breakfast . Good Dinner menu.

Very good stay at this hotel. Nice modern, recently renovated. Very clean shower and bath room. In good taste. Excellent breakfast. Good bread. Did not use restaurant but seems popular. Very, very convenient for bus to Sirmione Old Town.

This is a charming hotel full of character but with the added bonus of AC. The pool was very welcome after a days sightseeing would’ve been even better if it was open a bit later

Beutiful special hotel, very clean, new room.

The hotel is on a great location, right next to the bus stop if you want to go to other towns. It is really comfortable and nice, great pool and worth the price. Breakfast is great, and the restaurant has good options as well for lunch/dinner.

Das Hotel war sauber, das Personal freundlich. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen. Erreichbarkeit mit dem Auto nach Desenzano, Lazise, Peschiera del Garda in kurzer Zeit möglich.
