Catalonia Mirador des Port

Information about the room on the booking site was misleading (think on purpose). For the amenities it said 'balcony' in the room. Turned out that only some of the rooms have balconies. When brought up this to the front desk staff attention - heard all kind of things in return, including some thing as rediculous as 'How much did you pay for the room ? And it was on special? So, you are complaining after paying that little?' In reality the hotel by class is between Red Carpet and Holiday Inn. It knew better days. The pool was OK, the spa is just a hot tub. The bed was good. 10 min walk to the center of beautiful Mahon. Also they use some very strong fragrance - took about an hour of opened window to vent it out. Might be not good for people with allergies. Overall I'd put 2 out of 5.

The room and the pool were clean. The staff was friendly. The interior and facilities of the hotel are quite old and need renovation. Location is quite good.

Our room was changed from the specified premium room to one on the lower ground floor. The 'terrace' was nothing more than a tiny balcony. Nothing like the room booked. The first day complimentary water was in the room, which is to be expected. No water was in the room the second day, thinking this was an over sight i requested some. Isas advised out was only complimentary fou it the first day! Then they charged me 4€ pet bottle! I had a coffee and cereal and was charged €14 for breakfast. They refused to accept my €500 note in partial payment of my bill, nor would they change it into smaller denominations. There must be better hotels available? I certainly will avoid staying there again. T

The hotel is beautiful. The city is beautiful. I would highly recommend this to both business and vacation travelers.

The views across the bay and port are lovely, and the Franciscan monastry next door provided a spectacular backdrop. Good srrvice and helpful staff.

The hotel was great. The public areas were exceptionally light and spacious with magnificent views. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and varied. We had a lovely room with a terrace and a view of the port and museum, beautifully lit at night. A comfy chair would have been welcome and a loo that didn't gurgle through the night! Other than that we had absolutely no criticisms at all. Highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant stay! The hotel is located 10 mins away from the city center and very close to the port of Mahón. The staff was very helpful at all times.

No kettle or tea or coffee in room as promised online. Breakfast could have been better

This was a nice Hotel. Amazing view of the bay. Perfect location to explore the heart city of Mao, everything you could want is within walking distance 5minutes! The pool was a huge bonus!! I would stay here again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Catalonia Mirador De Port - the staff were delightful and most helpful, the food was excellent including the breakfast, and the hotel was perfectly situated for us to enjoy all that was going on in the town - the fiesta - and within easy walking distance.
