Short stay in Rome (3 nights) Hotel clean , well located, very helpful staff

Only recommendation call on advance no front desk or toy might be waiting on the street

It we ok no front desk I waited over 2 hours to get in until somebody let me use there phone then the.nice lady came and let us in ..so make sure and call ahead or you'll be waiting on the street was a ok area close to metro

The owner of the hostel obviously runs another hotel in Rome. Remember to give him a call before going to the hostel. The room is very clean and looks quite new, but the hot water is not always available.

When we arrived we were faced with a locked door at street level and no response to ringing the bell. There were no instructions as to how one could contact the "hotel". Once inside the building we were faced with another locked door and when kind neighbours phoned the number given by Hotels. Com we could hear it ringing in the unattended set of 6 rooms. This was very frustrating to weary travellers. Eventually an upstairs B&B managed to phone the owners and once Veronica came and let us in we found it very clean and she was very helpful. It was centrally situated but there were not a lot of places to go to for breakfast.Veronica's own restuarant fairly nearby was excellent and very popular. The rooms were made up daily, but the absence of any reception desk or available phone would have been a crisis if any emergency arose. It was in fact a set of 6 clean rooms that were let and not a hotel.
