Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa

Check was unfriendly, took over an hour to get us into our room which wasn’t the room I paid for. I paid for ocean view with a balcony. I got garden view with swim out and a bunch of kids jumping in and out of the pool making a lot of noise. I went back to check and told them his isn’t the room I paid for. He inform me this was an upgrade and I should be happy, I said I am not happy with all the kids noise and I’m sure these kids don’t want to hear me having adult fun. He change my room to an ocean view first floor, can’t even see the ocean. The room smelled horrible I called them and informed them of the smell they sent someone over to spray the room. I killed two roaches, no bath or hand towels, the mini bar was not stock. Needless to say the time only got worst. I called hotels.com for help I couldn’t connect due to bad phone service called after I got back and got the runaround. Worst hotel ever, wasn’t worth the price. Did I mention there was also a sand crab in my room smh

My view from room 6209 was breathtaking!!! The resort is nice, but my only recommendation is to get more experienced chefs. The food was very mediocre. We still enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful from the moment we arrived at the minute we left. We were staying at another hotel in Tulum but we unsatisfied and last minute changed to Dreams. We are so happy we did so. The beach was awesome, the food delicious and the massages are wonderful. Thanks for a great time Dreams Staff!

There is no elevator and my ocean view was blocked my trees, I couldnt see the ocean.

Just needs a lot of work. There were so many issues, that remained unresolved. The food isn’t great. Some of the staff were incredible, some of them treated us like we were annoying / embarrassing if we asked anything. Beach was gorgeous though and the rooms are really nice.

The hotel lobby is so small and worn. No room for social distancing. The property is dirty, the pool water is not clear. The guests at the hotel are low class, I had someone spit into the bushes right in front of me after he exited the pool, so much for Covid concerns. The wait staff is slow and does not pick up the lunch plates. Flies, ants and spiders were everywhere while we were eating lunch. This is a time share or what they call a vacation rental property. They don’t tell you that in the booking part online. The front desk manager is rude and unconcerned about the conditions of the property. It was 4:30pm and we still couldn’t get a room. We were told 3X to come back to the crowded, dirty lobby. No free water sports. Nothing to do, except get a tour of the time share. We voted with our feet and decided to leave because instead of a dream it was a nightmare.

Staff were amazingly kind, food and drinks were great, room was great, massage was great, property itself was great..

The property only has two restaurants working. The premiere staff is lazy and does not want to help. Even when I payed extra for such service I did not receive it.

Food could be better. The staff is not as friendly as the other resorts I been to in Tulum. Bed are really comfy.
