Hotel Schwansee

It was easy to communicate with staff for late check in. They left key in a locker for us. Bathtub was fantastic after a long day of traveling, too.

Checkin was easy, very friendly staff, small but comfortable accommodations, suggestions for area attractions and a great breakfast in the morning.

It was only a one nighter for us but wish it was longer. The owner was friendly and very helpful. Great breakfast.

Great location, kindly staff and good breakfast, easy parking on site. The owner speaks several languages.

The owner Claus and his son Tim were very nice and helpful with suggestions of where to go etc. Breakfast was good. Facilities although basic were clean and functional. We had one fun evening with Claus. A great guy :)

The owner is very helpful with information about where to eat, where to hike to see the castle at night, etc. We enjoyed our stay in your establishment.

Disappointing and annoying specially the owner always say outrageous remarks.

As mentionned in other comments and as attested by his own replies here, the owner is very rude. We arrived on time and we had no complains or anything whatsoever and he still managed to be insulting twice in the span of 5 minutes. You'd expect this kind of behavior from a disgrunted civil servant, not someone in the hospitality industry. We stayed a week in Bavaria and it's the only place we felt unwelcome, I guess the only reason this place is still open is because of its location. I don't see why anyone would want to come again.

The staff at the reception (probably the hotel owner) is impolite. He asked me to give him my passport, he hasn’t told me to give my wife and my friends passport, he threw my passport on the desk. Moreover, I think he is suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. He needs all the guests to obey him. Example:1. My friend use a glass to fill up coffee, he instructed him to use s coffee cup.2. I used a tissue paper in cleaning my hand and I put it on the desk and wait for the opening of the breakfast room and I will put it in the rubbish bin, he scold me and told me not to put on the desk. 3. The hotel has a corridor in joining the reception and the staircase of the bed room, he don’t let me to cross the corridor and asking me to go out to the garden and use the door that located outside. So, this hotel is not recommended by me.

A perfect hotel if you're planning to see the Castle. IT SETS THE PERFECT MOOD. The only downside was the blunt roughness of the hotel receptionist-cook. I am sure it's more of a cultural attitude than rudeness but it wasn't something we expected But we loved everything about it! Especially the location
